This is such a hard one. You’re my boy @lyon_herron I love you with all my heart. Our souls will always be connected forever. I will follow you until the end of time and will never leave your side. I couldn’t be more proud of you. You’re all heart. Such a stud. I’ve never known a better man. You showed everybody how it’s done.Your courage, strength, integrity and good character is legendary. I refuse to talk about you in past tense because I know this is just the beginning for you…it has been my greatest honor to watch you grow up and to have you in my life. You’ve been pulling at my heart strings since so young. That time I was moving to Costa Rica and your eyes welled up and you told me how you felt. That time you caught me blazing and started crying because you didn’t want to lose me. I feel exactly the same way about you kid. I always have. I know your Uncle Jon, your Uncle Steven and your Uncle Dale always have too. I cherish all the times with you as a mega gromm, your infectious spirit, your beyond stoke. There’s always been this fire deep inside of you shining bright like the sun and I feel it burning even brighter and brighter now. Remember when I moved back from the islands and all those times playing and shooting bb guns in buzzard canyon. Remember summers coming back to visit you, driving my car way way before you had a permit, all over point dume to check all the surf. Remember when you woke up with that pain on your leg and a ‘gromm for life’ tattoo hahah and all the adventures and good times we had, all the most incredible meals, epic surf and best beach days. As excruciatingly painful as this is for me…..I’m so happy you’re not in pain anymore. I know you really pushed it full throttle for everyone else and I’m so happy you made this decision for yourself. I honor and hold space for your path and divine timing. I picture you growing up a gromm again at the beach, this time with everything so much easier for you, living life to the very fullest, with not a worry, and all of us will be right their with you, creating new wonderful memories together with all the love in the world.You better be ready Lyon I’m coming for you…💙♾️💙 taken in Point Dume Mailibu by @bennygeren

In 1907 a humble Hawaiian lifeguard named George Freeth taught a bunch of young boys in Redondo Beach how to surf, make boards, become better swimmers, and become better men. He died 12 years later way too young, after a bout of pneumonia he got while saving people from drowning, and just couldn’t save enough💪🏽😇❤️ (there he is in the middle holding up the 3 young boys) P.M.A. by @bennygeren

So incredibly proud of my brother @faimaurobati for personally delivering Great Grandpa Māui’s fishing hook to Parliament in New Zealand. 💪🏽 The same hook that pulled up the islands of Maui, Tonga, and Avaiki 🌊🌴(from the Te Ara Tupuna Voyage: They navigated the stars, and winds, all the way back through Oceania to do this, something people said 'could never be done', and survived being taken over by Pirates, and a Typhoon that 99 naval officers died in, just to prove it).
