Sometimes what we’re most proud of isn’t the silly performances or the fun ones, but the cathartic serious ones. Folklore is the album I come back to time and time again and this is me trying has always deeply resonated with me. The past three months have been some of the hardest I’ve ever faced and I continue to surprise myself with how strong I am. So so thankful and honored to perform along people I’ve looked up to and such icons in this community. I wanted to take a moment to thank @henn_house_events and @isthishenlobullfrog for trusting me to work the King of Drag viewing parties for the inaugural season. Being able to work with such amazing kings and talented individuals has been something so invaluable to me this summer. I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much and create amazing partnerships and it’s something that I’ll carry with me forever. Being in drag weekly even allowed me to play around more with Benny’s persona and it has been the most validating thing. It is so refreshing and emotional to see those in our community that have done so much finally get their flowers. Not to mention having the opportunity to work more closely with Henlo has been the wildest ride (we all really survived Henlo Bullfrog this summer). Henlo, myself and this city is so immensely proud of everything you’ve accomplished. I could not think of anyone more deserving of all the accolades. 💕❤️💕❤️ taken in Strangelove's by @bennyhennydrag

Photo creds: @sylviamwaldron at the @t_h_e_moment show last night. It’s a Benny Birthday Bitches (few days late lol) 🎉🎂 2 years of drag in the books! In that time I’ve learned: makeup, performing, mixes, kittening, and even some event running. I’m in no way religious, but I’ve truly been blessed this past year in drag. I had my first pride month of gigs, first competitions, and my first paid bookings this year. Not to mention the growing bond with my drag family @jennyhennydrag @jeanlouisephl @yaridrag @bangz.baby in @henn_house_events . On top of that, actually weaving my way into the brotherhood of the very many amazing and talented kings of this scene (which is still crazy to me, bc these kings really dominate philly and even our tv screens rn). Drag has always been the fun thing I do whether I’m performing or not. I’m so so thankful for all of the friends, chosen family, and memories I’ve gotten to create in this scene.
