🏆 GRADE 2 CONSO WINNERS! 🎾

A good day at Padel Hub in Crawley competing in the British Padel Tour Grade 2!

Big shoutout to my partner @antonsavolainen 👏 Thought we played some really good padel throughout the tournament!

A tough Round of 16 loss to start with, and one I genuinely feel we should have won. But that’s sport! We dusted ourselves off, got back out there and managed to go all the way 🏆

NOW FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT… 👀😂

I’ve been contemplating this for a good few months now, and I’m still not convinced it’s a good idea…

But does anyone actually want to watch a 42-year-old bloke running around a padel court, trying to compete with the younger generation? 😂

I’ve been thinking about doing some vlogs, documenting tournament days, the highs, the lows, the occasional meltdown 🤬😂, coaching sessions and generally what goes on with padel.

Basically, a slightly ageing bloke trying to see how far he can go in this sport! 🎾🤣

Would anyone actually be interested in watching that sort of content? Or should I stick to hitting balls and leave the camera alone? 😂

Genuinely interested to hear what people think! 👇

A good weekend at the @lta_padel Grade 1 British National Championships 🎾🔥

First up, the Open with my partner @jackgradypadel. Big thanks to Jack for partnering me — I thought we played some really good padel against Rio and Cameron. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be, but plenty of positives to take from the match 👊

A more successful run in the Over 40s reaching the semi-final. We came up against two very solid players who played a great match and, again it just wasn’t meant to be for us today.

Lots to reflect on.

There are areas of my game I know I need to keep developing, but probably the biggest takeaway is continuing to work on myself mentally 🤣. Learning to control the emotions on court, compete better in the big moments and keep pushing myself to that next level.

Big thanks to my son @joshoakes__ for coming along to support me — although judging by some of the looks I got from him, I think he spent half the weekend wondering “Why is my dad so angry on a padel court?” 😂

Finally, a huge thank you to all of my sponsors and everyone who continues to support me.

🎾🔥 WHAT A DAY AT BISHOP’S STORTFORD PADEL CLUB! 🔥🎾

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming @bigsmashpadel @joemarler17 and @tubessocceram down to the @bishopstortfordpadelclub for a full day of filming, followed by a fantastic exhibition match alongside @nikhil.mohindra , top GB padel player and former GB number one @frankielangan

It was an absolutely brilliant day from start to finish, topped off by a huge turnout and an amazing atmosphere around the club! 🙌

Joe and Tubes were, as always, genuinely lovely, down-to-earth people. They gave everyone so much of their time throughout the day, chatting, taking photos and making the whole event incredibly special.

I feel very fortunate to be part of such a fantastic club and to know people like Joe and Tubes, who are every bit as genuine off camera as they are on it.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable event. Days like yesterday show just how special the padel community is! 🎾❤️
