Getting on top of the 108lb bow finally. This is a lovely bow by @gibbs.archery that I bought off a friend from @westcombefieldarchers. It started life at 130lb@32. I shoot to 31”, and over the years it’s dropped a few pounds, but it’s still great to shoot. I recently weighed it at another great bowyers @blackarrowlongbows. I haven’t shot it around the woods yet. I definitely want to get a bit more accurate with it, so I don’t end up smashing half my quiver into trees. It’s great to be able to shoot a heavy bow, but it’s even better to be able to shoot it accurately! Shooting war bows at a field archery club definitely makes you focus on both aspects of the sport. Onwards and upwards.

Beautiful walk/bike ride up on the Quantocks on the Drove Road with the fam. The long horn cattle are amazing. Great bike riding for kids too. Level enough with a few hills, roots and rocks to make it fun. I am 100% against kids riding without helmets too. This was just before she helmeted up. Always wear a helmet kids! And always ride a bike!

Grass snakes in the compost. I know not everyone’s idea of fun but I love having them in the garden. So interesting to go and look at. We had them in the compost last summer as babies and they’ve all gone and got so big!
