Big news for U Street: Ben's Chili Bowl has been chosen as the Ward 1 site for DC's official mural project celebrating the country's 250th anniversary, one of eight murals going up across the city!

Thank you to everyone who submitted suggestions for our mural this spring. We can't wait to share more soon. In the meantime, stop by to see "District of Change," the temporary mural installed by the @washmystics. by @benseverything

Scout Troop 4323 came all the way from Oregon to eat at Ben's! These young leaders were passing through town on their way to the National Scouting Jamboree in West Virginia. Thank you for making the trip to Ben's and joining the long tradition of groups visiting not only to try DC's Original Half Smoke, but to learn about the history of U Street and Ben's. by @benseverything

Cathy Hughes has been a friend of the Ali family for over 50 years, so it meant a lot to see her honored with the key to the city from @mayor_bowser this week! She built one D.C. radio station (WOL) into Urban One, now the largest Black-owned media company in the country. Ben's is proud to have been Cathy's first 12-month advertising contract. Congrats, @iamcathyhughes!

Had an amazing time at last night’s Rammy’s where I spent time with the Ali’s from Ben Chili Bowl and other change agents who make DC what it is.
