Meet The Bristol Wing Fest 2026 Judges - Ben Ford, @wingmanschicken 🏆

We’re excited to announce that one of the pioneers of the UK wing scene, Ben from Wingmans, will be joining the Bristol Judges team this weekend. Having won almost 30 Wing Fest awards himself, Ben knows exactly what it takes to make an award-winning wing and will be bringing his expert eye (and very high standards!) to the judging panel 👏

We’ll be announcing the winner of this year’s Judge’s Choice Awards on Saturday 5th September across our social media channels!

Buy your Bristol Wing Fest tickets now via the link in our bio 🎟️ taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @benzo101

There were big rumours circulating Friday morning that Ben and his team from @wingmanschicken had made something seriously special for the “Wild Wing” category at this years @wingfestuk LDN.

Friday afternoon I took the “DARJEE’WING EXPRESS” plunge. It took me 3-4 bites to even work out what was going on in my mouth. There was sweetness, acidity, depth, mad texture and it felt like new territory, another gear, the final boss of all wings. Mind bending levels of genius. The best wing I’ve ever eaten? Absolutely. Throw in the fact he’s a veteran of the game, always handles himself like a gentleman. Young bucks have come and gone yet the “old dog” has just shown everyone what’s what. It just felt magic.

I don’t know if @wingmanschicken are planning to run this as a special at their various sites but if they do… PLEASE go and try it. Breathtaking. Anyway, it went on to take the judges and people’s title. The hype was real. 🏆 🏆

@wingfestuk does it again. Results that REALLY matter. An event of gargantuan proportions. 10 years in the making. Our captial city. In all its foodie glory. Proud to have been there.

What a wing that was.

Cheers everyone, Matt 🐔❤️🫶
