🏆 Mission Accomplished ✅ ~with tail~

Coming into the day needing to win just one of the next two games to be crowned league champions, our Intermediate squad got the job done in dramatic fashion.

After going down 3-1 in the 2nd, we fought back to take the lead in the 4th, surrendered the lead in the top of the 9th, and walked it off in the bottom of the 9th to secure the championship victory!

As always, our pitching kept us in the game throughout, and our relentless lineup continued to see contributions from top to bottom.

🏆 Championship Sunday 🏆

This is what we’ve fought for all season: a chance to bring home the trophy. Our Intermediate AAA squad is now just ONE WIN away from doing exactly that.

We’ll take on the 2nd-seeded Essex Bulls, who punched their ticket by defeating the Maywood Expos this morning.

Thanks to our performance throughout the postseason — and the double-elimination format — we’re in the fortunate position of needing just one win in our next two games to be crowned Champions.

It’s go-time!

Round 2: Complete ✅

The beat rolls on for the Black Sox, as our Intermediate squad handled business against the Maywood Expos and are now just ONE WIN AWAY from being crowned league champions!

As usual, it was a tough battle against the Expos, but just like we’ve done all season long, our defense locked down when it mattered most, our offense came through with the clutch ABs, and our pitching staff held a talented Maywood lineup in check.

Next Sunday: we’ll face the winner of Saturday’s matchup between the Essex Bulls & Maywood Expos for a chance to bring home the trophy! 🏆

⏭️ Next up: a semi-finals showdown with the @maywoodexpos! ⚾️

After last week’s statement victory over the Jersey Crushers, our Intermediate squad is now just 1 win away from earning a spot in the championship! This will be no easy feat, however, as the red-hot Expos are coming in off a 9 game win streak.

Same time. Same place. New opponent.

Round 1: Complete ✅

After a well-earned bye week, our Intermediate squad was firing on all cylinders in the first round of the double-elimination bracket. Lights-out pitching, web-gem quality defense, and a relentless offensive barrage all combined to lead us to a 15-0 victory over the Jersey Crushers.

Up next, we’ll be facing the red-hot @maywoodexpos on 8/9, with a spot in the finals on the line.

😤 The real season begins now… 👇

After an incredibly fun regular season, our 15-3 record now goes out the window, as our postseason run begins THIS WEEKEND.

Thanks to our well-earned bye week, we’ve automatically advanced into the double-elimination playoff bracket, and will be facing the @jerseycrushers who are coming off their wild card round victory over the Garfield Cardinals.

It all goes down this Sunday morning at Vander Sande.
