What a day! The first time Lewis was allowed to drive his kart. He was so looking forward to this. First a training in the parking lot and then with Bompa on the circuit. 🏁 GK4 Mariembourg Debut 🏁

What a weekend.

This weekend Lewis made his official GK4 debut at Mariembourg. A completely new circuit for both Lewis and the team, competing against drivers with significantly more experience.
After qualifying P16, Lewis continued to improve throughout the day and fought his way up to P11 in the final.

What makes this result even more special is that neither Lewis nor the team had ever driven at Mariembourg before. With every session he got faster, learned more and gained confidence.
The result exceeded all expectations, but what made us most proud was seeing Lewis enjoy every second he spent on track.

A weekend we will never forget.

Before the race, we honestly thought that if he simply didn’t finish last, we would already be incredibly proud. This was his very first GK4 race, and everything was new.
The tyres stayed in the pits until race time, his front bumper was checked, and every little detail was taken seriously. We had no idea what to expect.

Then the lights went out… and he surprised us all. 🏁

Lap after lap, he kept pushing, making some incredible overtakes and setting a fastest lap that was 2 seconds faster than we expected.

What a performance in his first-ever GK4 race. Nobody saw this coming — and we couldn’t be prouder. ❤️🔥

Lewis just turned 7, and what a race you drove today! 🥹🏁
A day full of emotions, excitement, pride and a little bit of heartbreak. ❤️

Qualifying: P6 out of 10 drivers.
Already a huge achievement!

Then came Heat 1. A great start saw Lewis move up to P4. In the next corner, a few drivers slipped, but Lewis managed to avoid them beautifully and moved up to P2. Throughout the race, positions changed and he was overtaken again, but in the end he crossed the finish line in P2.

After the finish, we found out that the driver who crossed the line in P1 had received a penalty for a false start and a bumper penalty. That meant Lewis moved up to P1! 🤩

What a race! Our day couldn’t get any better.

Heat 2: P1 → P4
Another really strong drive from Lewis. After a mistake in the corner before the Europalaan, he dropped back to P6 But he held onto the position really well and even managed to fight his way back towards the others.

And then… he set the fastest lap of the entire field! 😱🔥
To do that in the rain was absolutely incredible.

With the points from Heat 1 and Heat 2 combined, Lewis finished P1 overall, meaning he started Heat 3 from pole position!

Heat 3: P1 → P7
Another amazing start, and for a moment it even looked like Lewis might pull away from the group. But he was quickly caught. The track was drying out, which meant the others were getting faster and faster.

Lewis was overtaken, but he managed to hold onto P3 for quite a while. When he dropped to P4, you could see the frustration and sadness taking over. His lap times became slower, and unfortunately the others caught up as well. He eventually finished P7.

But honestly…
seeing the smallest driver of them all drive so incredibly fast in the rain was something very special. 🌧️🏎️💨

For us, Lewis was the winner today. 🥇❤️
He showed so much speed, courage and determination, and we couldn’t be prouder.

And Lewis? He’s already hoping for even more rain at the next race! 😂🌧️🏁

Not every race day is about the final result.

Today at the Sprint Cup in Genk, Lewis showed that motorsport is about so much more than finishing positions.

After a strong qualifying session and a solid first heat, our day suddenly changed. An engine that wouldn’t stay running meant he couldn’t even start Heat 2. Just when we thought we had fixed the problem, the engine failed again only minutes before Heat 3.

Then the real teamwork began.

A huge thank you to the DFK team, who jumped in without hesitation. While the rest of the field was already completing the warm-up laps, they worked against the clock, fitted a new carburetor, and got Lewis back on track just in time for the start.

Lewis fought his way from P16 to P14 and crossed the finish line with his arms in the air. That celebration said everything.

Sometimes the biggest victories aren’t measured by trophies, but by determination, teamwork, and never giving up.

🏁 Grootse dromen beginnen met een allereerste rondje. ❤️

Vol spanning, een beetje zenuwen en vooral met een enorme glimlach stappen deze jonge talenten voor het eerst in een kart op Raceway Venray. Want vele kampioenen begonnen ooit precies hier... met die allereerste meters.

Onder de intensieve begeleiding van het geweldige team van Raceway Venray & DFK Experience maken ze op een veilige en leuke manier kennis met de mooiste sport die er is. Wie weet kijken we over een paar jaar wel terug naar deze eerste rondjes van een toekomstige kampioen. en denken dan: “ja, dáár is het allemaal begonnen!”✨

Dream big. Start young. 💛🏎️

🏁 Club Race 3 | Venray 🏁
The morning practice sessions couldn’t have gone much better. Lewis even set a new track record on old tires! At that point, our day already felt like a success. 🙌🔥
Qualifying A really strong qualifying session, but despite that, he ended up starting from P9. The level of competition was incredibly high today, and Lewis was the youngest driver on the grid. 💪

Heat 1 The start was a bit hectic, with a small incident going into Turn 1. Lewis is still a little too kind—rather than taking advantage of the situation, he let everyone go ahead. Not ideal for racing, but honestly pretty cute to see. 😅 His lap times weren’t quite where they should have been, and he seemed a bit distracted throughout the race.

Heat 2 What a start! 🚀 Lewis got away brilliantly and immediately gained a position. He managed to hold onto it for three laps before eventually giving it back. His pace was strong, and he looked comfortable out on track. Then, unfortunately, a big mistake—he came into the pits one lap too early, resulting in a DNF.🫣
➡️ P9 → P9

Heat 3 A decent start and he was able to stay with the pack. His lap times were looking good, and suddenly you could see him closing the gap to the driver ahead. As he got closer, his lap times kept dropping. The final three laps were exciting as he pushed hard for an overtake, but just couldn’t quite make it happen.
What an incredible race! 🔥🏎️
Lewis set another new track record, just how much progress he’s making right now. The last place today will be the first place someday. The speed, confidence, and growth we’re seeing at the moment are amazing. 🤩💙
