HAPPY 5-0 B-RAD the Ranger! Not a bad-looking bunch considering a collective 196 years of age - and that’s including 196 Minnesota winters, woof! 🥶

You are truly 1:1 @bradxgunnarson, and we are legit #blessed to have you in our lives. THANK YOU for ALL that you do for us and ALL the bands for which you “work” (in quotes because you refuse to be paid for your tireless, selfless efforts) in MPLS and across the upper Midwest. Stoked to see what kinda RAD adventures the next half-century has in store for ya! 🎂

📸 courtesy of the absolutely amazing @katytothekelly_photos 🙏 - these were taken at last wknd’s B-Gunn b-day bash at @pilllarforum! Super sicc vertical live shots coming 🔜

SATURDAY: join us at @pilllarforum alongside @exactlynoband, @johnnyrookmusic + @drownthelifeguard as we celebrate 50 years of @bradxgunnarson being the baddest (and most selfless) mf in the Minnesota music scene!

For those not in the know, Brad basically does EVERYTHING for us - graphic design, photography, video, social media promo, vinyl pressing, merch design + ordering, merch sales at shows, digital distribution, banner hanging …

But that’s not ALL … Brad does the same for scores of MN bands (including ALL the other groups we’re in like @twoharborsmusic, @alignrock, @deadhistoryband + the bands listed above and many, many more) and he NEVER asks for anything in return. He’s the ultimate behind-the-scenes team player and we’d be totally screwed without his tireless efforts. He’s the 5th owl, the 6th man of the year, the unsung MVP, the GOAT - and just a really nice fella to boot.

So come help us raise a glass to the guy who makes everything go, and support a space (Pillar Forum) that has been a cornerstone of the NE MPLS community, and a bastion of HOW YOU MF DO IT during the ICE occupation. Give your money to businesses who actually care about ALL of us!

On our end of the deal, we promise to play our gd guts out - some new stuff, some recently unearthed old stuff, and a ripping cover tune we’re GEEKED about … plus it’s our first MPLS show in over 4 months, so you know we’re ALL fired 🆙

NOTE: early show - ALL AGES!
Saturday, April 11
@cardinalsunrecords showcase
Doors: 6pm | Music 6:30pm
30min sets, we’re 3rd of 4 bands

HUZZAH: it’s a dream come true to officially have our split 7” with superfriends @yeah.quit out into the world this Friday, April 3!

These RAD dudes from Miami were a cult sensation in our hometown of Mankato, Minn. when we were dork-ass teens just learning how to play, and to say we have borrowed heavily from them over the years would be a colossal understatement.

Featuring incredible hand-drawn artwork and bespoke packaging from fellow Mankat + megabud Dan Black, this special release is limited to 507 copies (IYKYK) in multiple vinyl colorways and 3 different cover variants via Dan’s label, @landlandcolportage!

More about the songs soon, but for now, bask in the fact that QUIT’s classic LP “Earlier Thoughts” is recently remixed/remastered and finALLy on streaming services, woah-oh! 🩵🧡

THANK YOU FRIENDS: Yesterday we were able to donate $3,150 to the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund, part of @womensfndnmn, ALL because of you! 🙏

Just a quick post to show our work: we had $1,350 in 2026 merch sales thru March 5 - most of which came in on Bandcamp Friday in February 6. We also sold $150 at @bigturnmusicfest in Red Wing on Feb 21, thereby totaling $1,500 that we matched for $3,000.

Finally, we sold an addtl $150 on March 6 (another Bandcamp Friday) which totals out to $3,150. We are beyond stoked with this result, so once again, our sincerest gratitude for all y’all who were a part of this! 🙏

We hope to do another mutual aid campaign 🔜, but in the meantime, we implore you to check out the @cardinalsunrecords Rock Ice Out! compilation our pal @bradxgunnarson put together, featuring rare + unreleased tracks by us and a bunch of our fellow MN band buddies. (Lincoln Bio ⬆️)

This effort has raised about $2K (and counting) for the IRRF as well, so let’s keep it going! 👏

BANDCAMP FRIDAY: ALL Rad Owl merch sales from today (March 6) + ALL sales from this here Rock Ice Out! compilation go directly to the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund - 100% of what you give goes directly to help vulnerable Minnesota communities in need in the wake of the unconscionable ICE occupation of these past few months …

Our superbro @bradxgunnarson of @cardinalsunrecords + @copycatsmedia compiled this 20-song banger - featuring our hard-to-find ripper ‘Funny Papers,’ as well as tracks from the other bands we’re ALL in (@alignrock, @deadhistoryband, @twoharborsmusic) + tons of our fellow Minnesota music buddies like @short_timer_music, @toiletrats, @lovelydarkband, @unstableshapes, @batteryeyes, @christylynncostello, @exactlynoband and so many more …

Great tunes for a great cause - LINK IN BIO ⬆️
