Spooky 👻 Cloudy night in #bergywood ! Hope you are all ready for the weekend! Apologies for lack of posts. For two decades, I have had some painful fun with kidney stones and sometimes they can be very nasty. The last two weeks has seen me battling one. I still am but it’s time to get back to fun despite the pain! Got some plans that I need to complete and get started on and looking forward to it! Happy Friday to everyone and stay tuned for some updates over next days and weeks. If I disappear for a few days you now know why!! 😂😂🤣

Four years ago our abandoned theme park build was featured in a @beyondthebricktv video. Built together with my daughter @_amylayne_ who is my fearless photo editor and tik tok creator!! Also had help from my daughter Emma and @nikkibergstresser, famous author, on set up day at Brickcon 2017! It was such a fun build! What do you think?

Thank you Molly at Coles Books for such a warm welcome to your store!
It's not just about the fun of book signings, it's about meeting people and hearing their stories too. I loved yesterday. There were some who had never heard of Gander and the kindness shown by so many 25 years ago and eager to learn more. There were others who knew the story well, sharing how proud they are of Canadian stories like Gander. Two teenagers stopped to talk because their teacher had taught them about Operation Yellow Ribbon in school last month. Another woman shared stories about her husband being a firefighter.
❤️📚🇨🇦
Thank you to my dear husband @bergybricksadventures for his Lego storytelling that I can use to explain the history of that day. He did A LOT of research to build the terminal, runways and planes.
❤️📚🇨🇦
Gander:The Town that Welcomed the World, A Promise to Protect and Seasons for Stones all have a common theme of community, compassion and kindness woven through the stories. Let's continue to build community and empathy by sharing stories together!

Gander: The Town that Welcomed the World picture book made it to Denmark! I love doing school visits and taking Lego builds to share with students, reminding them story telling takes many forms. So my most awesome husband spent countless hours building the terminal, runways and planes to represent what happened in Gander on 9/11. He researched the exact 38 airplanes that landed that day. (Some are not included in the photo.) Even down to the over 45 school buses that transported the stranded passengers to hosts and surrounding communities. And he built it so that it could be transported easily for my author visits! In fact he tested it by taking the build to show at Skærbæk, Denmark. In case you weren't aware, Billund, Denmark is home to the birthplace of Lego. Thanks and all my love to @bergybricksadventures, we make a good team! 😘❤️
A big thank you from Kevin and myself to Brian Williams from Gander tourism who came to our rescue answering questions and sending specific photos to assist with our research.
We can hardly wait to bring the build and visit Gander, NFL in the future! 🇨🇦📚❤️

Emma, Emma, Emma!! Happy Birthday Emma! Life is so much more fun and better when you are in it. You bring so much humor, fun and adventure to everything we do. Love you very much and happy happy birthday!!
P.S. I tried to find the bear in blue house birthday song but couldn’t lol!! So I’ll just sing it to you separately every day this week! by @bergybricksadventures
