Today, completely by chance, I came across this video from December 18, 2020, and felt like sharing it.

Back then, I used to record these quiet moments of painting just for myself. I never imagined sharing them with anyone. I was simply capturing moments that belonged to me.

It was 1 AM in Berlin. The poetry of Sohrab Sepehri was playing in the background, and I was sitting in front of a canvas, overwhelmed with emotions.

No plan. No expectations. Just me, the poetry, and colors.

I had no idea what I was creating. Somehow, the painting seemed to come to life on its own.

At that time, I was somewhere between two chapters of my life, slowly discovering a part of myself I had never truly explored.

I wasn’t trying to become an artist. I was simply painting because something inside me needed to be expressed.

I didn’t know that these late nights would turn into years of creating, that hundreds of paintings would follow, or that art would eventually become my entire world.

What began as a quiet escape from everyday life slowly became a new way of living, seeing, feeling, and understanding myself.

Art became my language, my freedom, and an important part of my healing.

Looking back almost six years later, I feel so much love for the woman who sat in front of that canvas, unaware of the journey she had just begun.

I thought I was simply creating paintings.
But somewhere along the way, art was recreating me.

And perhaps that’s the magic of creating. You don’t need to know where it will lead. You don’t need perfection. You just need to allow yourself to begin.

There is an artist within every one of us.
And perhaps, that inner artist is also our inner healer.

Six years later, the emotions are still flowing, the paintings are still being born, and I’m still becoming.

Just one good decision in the morning can change the quality of the whole day … going to the lake in this beautiful morning was the best early morning decision 🤍

The only place that never asks me to be anything.

I’m not sure which one is home anymore…
whether that place is home, or whether I leave home to go there.

Two works. One conversation.

Placed opposite each other, these two BELVOO pieces create a quiet dialogue across the room movement, tension, softness and energy meeting in the same space.

The expressive red gestures feel almost instinctive against the luminous surface, while the sculptural white frames turn each work into an object of its own.

I love seeing how art changes once it leaves the studio.
It doesn’t simply decorate a space — it begins to interact with it.

For me, the finished painting is only a small part of the work.

The real work happens during the process.

When I paint intuitively, I enter a space that feels very close to life itself. The painting is constantly changing, and with every change I am confronted with decisions, contradictions, loss, attachment, and transformation.

Sometimes a part of the painting becomes beautiful on its own. It may feel complete, powerful, almost untouchable. But if it no longer serves the harmony of the whole, I have to be willing to change it, cover it, destroy it, or let it disappear.

This happens again and again.

A beautiful detail is sacrificed so that something larger can emerge.

And this is where painting becomes a teacher for me.

It reminds me that harmony is not created by protecting every individual part. Sometimes harmony asks for surrender. Sometimes one element must soften, disappear, or transform so that the whole can breathe.

I experience this process almost like an orchestra of life. Every element has its own voice, but no voice can exist completely alone. Each part is constantly responding to the others.

This is why the process of painting has always been more important to me than the final image.

Painting is not only something I create. It is a space in which I learn, release, confront myself, and grow.

In that sense, painting has become a form of art therapy for me a living practice of transformation.
