I’ve made some new friends (in real life and also on here in the IG world) and I wanted to give you a short synopsis of “my story”. It’s really God’s story and He gave me a part to play in it. If I could write my story myself, I surely wouldn’t give myself THIS part. But, here we are!

First of all, I don’t take myself super seriously. I have this space to talk about my faith, memories, my beautiful husbands, my boys and my friends. I do share a lot, and my reasoning is that IF and WHEN I die (real talk), there’s no husband to tell my boys about their mama. So here is a little space where they can peek inside my brain and read the why and how of the memories we have together. And of course, stories from my perspective about their daddies.

Maybe it’s morbid, maybe it’s PTSD. Whatever it is, it’s me :)

In a nutshell….I married my first husband almost 10 years ago, we had a son and my husband’s Leukemia came back while I was pregnant. He passed away in 2015 from complications of it and our son was just 5 months old. We were married for 2.5 years and together for a total of 6 years.

I then starting dating my second husband in 2017 and we were married in 2018 and had our son the following year. My husband passed away unexpectedly in a car accident in 2019 when our son was 9 months old. We were only married for 1.5 years and together for 2.5 years.

Those are just the facts without the very real and raw emotions that have come from the trauma and pain…hence, I’m known as a double widow. Whew.

BUT GOD. He has sustained me, has been merciful and good in so many ways. I truly don’t know where I would be without my trust in Jesus.

There are really excruciatingly bad days and there are really really beautiful days.

I’m here to share a little of both and to let God use me in whatever way He wants. I clearly have no control, do I?

Happy 12th birthday to the one who called me mama first!! I adore you more than you know. What a blessing it’s been to watch you grow from kicking trash cans to catching footballs. Their 4x100 relay team ended up as 15th in the nation at this year’s Junior Olympics meet! So proud of these boys! And then a few hours later we headed over to play a little flag football in the championship game. 😮‍💨 tired but full heart by @bernadette_tk

My little biker!!! He learned how to ride this week at bike camp! Thank you @pedalheads for generously giving us a week of this awesome camp. Luka ADORED his counselor - Miss Cortney and Miss Mia!
