The third sculpture I’ve brought to life so far.
I’m currently reaching out to studios, manufacturers, and foundries to explore what possibilities there are for producing them in other materials.
Loving the process of learning about more traditional domains of art and design. I have a feeling that traditional craftsmanship will get the attention it deserves again in the future.
If you know people or have ideas for manufacturing techniques, I’d be more than happy to connect!

This is my first series of real world sculptures.
While working digital for most of my career I was always lacking the tangibility of my work.
My work as of today used to exist only in virtual or site specific spaces and moments.
This exploration gave me the chance to use my passion for digital design and to transform it into something physical.
I really enjoyed learning how to work with different materials and how far I could take these forms from screen to sculpture on my own.
They’re not perfect, but they’re a beginning and im looking forward what might evolve out of them.
The exploration of AI was something that really resparked my curiosity and motivated me to explore new ways of visual expression.
Along the way, I also kept thinking about what value means in an age of AI and 3D printing, a question that most people in your field are currently addressing.
Where is meaning found when almost anything can be copied or generated?
I see this project as a playground where i can explore new possibilities and maybe get some clearification on the entire topic of AI.
If anything comes to mind while reading this or where this experiment could be heading, feel free to drop a comment or message.
Love, Bernd.
