I can’t believe it’s been a year since I lost you, Bernie. The world has kept moving, but mine changed forever the day you left.
I miss your laughter, your hugs, your voice, and everything that made you, you. I miss my husband, my best friend, my greatest love, and my safe place. I would give anything for one more conversation, one more hug, one more “How ‘bout that?”♥️
I thank God for the gift of loving you and for every precious moment we shared. Your love lives on in my heart, our memories, and the life we built together.
Until we meet again, you’ll remain in every prayer, every memory, and every heartbeat.
Forever my love, my best friend, and my hero.♥️🕊️ by @bernieparent1

One year after Bernie Parent’s passing, his presence is still deeply felt throughout the Snider community.

For 20 years, Bernie proudly served as an ambassador for Snider, generously giving his time, energy, and enthusiasm to our students. He had an extraordinary ability to make people feel welcome, encouraged, and important, and his passion for growing the game left a lasting impact on generations of young players.

Bernie remains greatly missed, but his legacy lives on through the students he inspired and the young goalies who continue to benefit from the program created in his honor. Over the past year, $191,377 was donated in Bernie's memory. With Snider's 2:1 match, that is $574,131 to support the next generation of Snider students and goalies.

Today and always, we are proud to carry Bernie’s legacy forward, and your support helps make that possible.

You can help continue Bernie’s impact by joining The Roster at the Bernie’s #1 Fan level. With a gift of $25/month, you’ll support Snider’s Goalie Development Program and help provide 100+ young goalies with specialized training, mentorship, and opportunities to grow both on and off the ice. Uncle @bernieparent1 would tell @isabella.troilo over and over again that he was a frog.🐸
(His French Canadian humor).
So, at just 7 years old, Bella decided to draw her very own Uncle Bernie, as a frog, complete with his hockey stick, puck and net.🏒💚
She proudly gave it to him, and his response was classic Uncle Bernie:
“Bella, I love it! I never looked so good!”😂♥️
A simple little drawing that holds such a beautiful memory of their special bond.
Some of the most precious memories are the ones that make you smile, laugh, and miss someone all at the same time.♥️
It’s a beautiful thing.🐸🏒💚

@sniderhockey students spent the first half of this week at the @philadelphiaflyers Training Facility for the first ever @bernieparent1 Goaltending Camp! Along with productive skill sessions on and off the ice, our students were joined by guest speakers, including @flyersalumniassn Todd Fedoruk and Robert Esche, @lehighvalleyphantoms Goalie Carson Bjarnason and Bernie’s pup #sophialorenparent
Thank you to @flyerscharities and @bernieparent1, whose legacy continues to inspire our student-athletes every day! #bernieparent #philadelphiaflyersalumni #edsnideryouthhockeyandeducation taken in Vorhees, Nj by @bernieparent1

One of our favorite visits to the @pspca.🐶🐾
There was nothing but love, wagging tails, and happy hearts. So grateful for these moments and for everyone who works so hard to care for these amazing animals.♥️@gillianak
