There was amazing banter, tension and a grumpy/sunshine dynamic. Saige is a bookbinder that finds herself imprisioned next to Archer, a fallen Azkari general who isnโ€™t fully corporeal. She is the only human who can actually see him. Together, they team up to gain their freedom and restore a magical book. Their journey if one filled with magic, secrets, dangerous evil forces and of course banter, chemistry and tension. Aside from the romance I also loved the friendship and found family aspect between Saige, Raven and Yev. The way these women cared for and stood by each other brought so much heart to the story. The dual narration was perfection and I was wholly invested in every aspect of the storyline. The ending left me craving book 2 and looking forward to seeing what happens next. Mattie and Campbell meet as summer interns vying for the same job. Mattie is filled with resentment and anger towards Campbell who she sees as her biggest rival. Campbell always seems to come out on top, ever since that first summer when he got the coveted job at the agency they were both interning for. Now years later, their respective agencies are competing for the same luxury resort account. The last thing Mattie wants to spend time with Campbell but in order to score the account, they must spend the next few weeks immersed in all the resort brand has to offer while preparing to pitch against each other. This was such a black cat/golden retriever love story. I adored Campbell and the more we got to know about him, his family and the sweet reason behind his loud wardrobe, the more smitten I became. He was such a yearner. The banter between these two was fun but what I enjoyed most was the personal growth they each made. The dual timeline format helped us really see their relationship evolve. There were some emotional themes at play here of loss, complicated family dynamics and of course romance. If you enjoy a slow burn rivals-to-lovers romance with banter, chemistry and emotion you wonโ€™t want to miss If Not You by Ellen Oโ€™Clover. Saige Grayson has always believed stories could heal-even when her own body refuses to. As the most promising bookbinder in the capital, sheโ€™s learned to work through chronic pain and crushing debt, restoring other peopleโ€™s treasures while trying not to fall apart herself. But when the man she owes decides her rare talent is worth more than her payments, Saige is traded to the Azkari-an immortal race forged by the gods for warโ€”and imprisoned in their ancient stronghold. Her only chance of survival lies with Archer, a fallen Azkari general imprisoned beside her โ€”cursed, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. He offers her a way out, and in return, Saige must help him retrieve and restore an ancient book. But the book is made of living magic, powerful enough to stop a great evilโ€”or unleash it. And as Saige works with Archer, the tome begins to awaken something dark and dangerous-both in the realm and within her. As their enemies close in and buried memories resurface, Saige and Archer must decide what theyโ€™re willing to their freedom, their fragile trust...or the spark that could ignite the world. โ“๐˜ž๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ญ๐˜บ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ? taken in Florida, USA by @bernluvsbooks

Allegra is enduring a bad workplace breakup when she gets passed over for a partnership position sheโ€™s worked hard for. Then she gets news of her Nonnaโ€™s passing. When she arrives in Tuscany for the reading of her grandmotherโ€™s will she finds that her Nonna has put in stipulations that she spend 3 months living there and managing her shop or she forfeits her inheritance. Matteo is Nonnaโ€™s handsome winemaker neighbor who is helpful to everyone in town. I love that this is dual POV. Getting both of their backstories we were able to see why they were so guarded. They came into each otherโ€™s lives at just the right time. I loved their relationship and how they both had walls built up and slowly let them down with each other. This wasnโ€™t just a romance It was a journey of grief, healing, self-discovery and growth. I genuinely loved Nonna and we only got to know her through her letters. She was such an important part of the story. The letters brought so much fun and emotion to the story. And look at this PR box! It was absolute perfection! It included stunning character art, Tuscany postcards, a notepad, biscotti, Nutella, sparkling cider, an espresso pod and a special double cover ARC. ๐—ช๐ก๐š๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ง๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ž? taken in Florida, USA by @bernluvsbooks

๐Ÿฉ Holding Ground by Piper Rayne ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Thank you @valentine_pr_ and @authorpiperrayne for the gifted audiobook Grumpy single dad romances have quickly become my kryptonite. Combine it with a small town like Echo Lake that feels like a balm to your soul, add in some forced proximity and I simply could not resist this! The cherry on top - phenomenal narration by Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton. I was listening every chance I got and even when I shouldnโ€™t be. The chemistry between Emilia and Elliott was so good. The instant lust and dislike they feel for each other changing into genuine affection and found family made my heart melt. I adored the fierce and loving dad that Elliott was to his daughter Baylor and how genuine her relationship with Emilia was. Seeing Elliott put not only his heart on the line but that of his daughter too was beautiful. I cannot wait for more of the Mercer family and Echo Lake! โ“๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ? taken in Florida, USA by @bernluvsbooks
