Improv workshops for people who think “I could never!” It’s an opportunity to play with the tools and skills in improv without the performance.

Seven years practicing this art form it’s so clear to me how this regular practice shows up in all areas of my life: interpersonal relationships, work, goals-setting. I find more confidence, more play, more authenticity in every area of my life.

Each workshop stands alone with a direct topic and the full set builds out a series of different skills and takeaways I’ve gathered and would love to share!

Collective Brilliance: Foundations is here!

Over the past few years, I’ve been developing the Collective Brilliance Experience as a space to explore what matters to you, generate possibilities, and move toward something you want to pursue…. all alongside other curious humans.

This fall, I’m so excited to pilot an intensive of the Foundations to @hausofcomedy! 🎉

Two weeks. 8–12 people.

Explore creativity through playful and reflective participatory activities inspired by applied improvisation. This interactive workshop invites designers, artists, makers, and creative professionals to step away from the pressure to perform and reconnect with curiosity and one another. Through a series of activities, small-group conversations, and guided reflection, participants will experience how play can deepen relationships and spark fresh perspectives.

Career advice from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. No, really.

Try to make everyone like you and you become extremely unlikable. Bernie's flip on that: everybody wants to be invited, so just be the one doing the inviting. That mindset, plus a no-judgment rule borrowed from improv class (we clap when we mess up), went from "popular amongst the unpopular" to an actual career.

Obviously we grabbed a beer at @opbrewco beforehand.

I love spaces that make room for local artists, makers, experimenting, learning, gathering, AND apparently getting very distracted looking at every single thing on the shelves.

Grief can be messy, difficult, isolating and feel never ending. It can also be reflective, beautiful and transformative, particularly when we lean on our community to get us through the tough bits.

I’m so grateful for the work the @bereavementnetworkresourcessac does to connect folks moving through grief to resources that can support them.

It was a privilege to spend and evening with folks across industries who support folks moving through grief: therapists, clinicians, fiduciaries, hospice and care workers, chaplains, and the dedicated professional of the board.

They put together a program that allowed for reflection, processing AND joy.

We will start the day with The Brick Reset: Rebuilding Creative Focus Through Play, led by Charleen Jones from Another Jones @anotherjones, at The Urban Hive @theurbanhive @ 10:00 am. In this hands-on workshop, you are invited to step away from your screens and reconnect with your creative instincts through LEGO® bricks.

We will continue the theme of play with Bernie Baktashian @bernue and their workshop, Rediscover Play: Creativity Through Connection, with Haus of Comedy @hausofcomedy at Geery Theater at 2:00 pm.
