Né en 1960 à Bruxelles, Belgique, où il vit et travaille

Pascal Bernier interroge la construction et la manipulation des émotions dans le contexte des bouleversements écologiques et de la mise en danger du vivant. À travers des installations mettant en scène des animaux naturalisés, auxquels il ajoute des bandages et des blessures, son travail explore les tensions entre le soin et la blessure, la violence et la tendresse, révélant les relations complexes et souvent ambivalentes que les humains entretiennent avec les autres êtres vivants.

Pascal Bernier examines the construction and manipulation of emotions in the context of ecological upheavals and the endangerment of living beings.Through installations featuring taxidermied animals adorned with bandages and wounds, his work navigates the tensions between care and injury, violence and tenderness, revealing the complex and often ambivalent relationships humans maintain with other living beings.
