Nugget from Coach Long who just welcomed baby Parker to the Rebel family! DON’T PANIC. JUST PIVOT.

After some complications, I’m thankful to say Hana and baby Parker are both doing well!

Spending time in the hospital gave me the opportunity to witness something incredible — a TEAM working together when it matters most.

Doctors, nurses, and countless others working toward ONE GOAL. Everyone knows their role, communicates, trusts one another, and executes. While everyone else may be nervous, they’re calm, focused, and locked in.

When things don’t go according to plan, nobody pouts, points fingers, makes excuses, or feels sorry for themselves.

THEY PIVOT. THEY ADJUST. THEY FIND A SOLUTION.

And that’s when it hit me…

Football teaches you so much more than how to win a game.

Life isn’t always going to go the way you drew it up. Adversity is coming, and things won’t always be fair. But it’s not about what happens to you — it’s about how you RESPOND!

Trust the people around you. Communicate. Stay cool under pressure. Learn from the bad, capitalize on the good, and NEVER GIVE UP!

Great teams don’t fall apart when adversity hits. They come together.

I’m incredibly thankful for the hospital staff who showed us what true teamwork looks like.

I hope every young man we coach understands that the lessons we teach aren’t just for Friday nights. They’re lessons for LIFE!

DON’T PANIC. DON’T POINT FINGERS. DON’T QUIT.

PIVOT. ADJUST. TRUST YOUR TEAM. KEEP FIGHTING!
