The last sewing day is here.. tomorrow is the Fat Joy event.. tix at fatjoyevent.com. I usually save these huge pieces for a fashion show.. but I found some forest green organza, so I felt inspired. This is a huge piece of vintage embroidered mesh. Butter yellow flowers and trim on a dark green mesh background. The fabric is just gorgeous.. my photos do not do it justice. This piece is a flexible fit.. could fit from a 3x- 6x. It would look amazing with a crinoline under it.. but I didn’t have the time. See you tomorrow!!!! There is a green organza capelet as well. #fatjoyevent #vintagemeshfabric #indiedesigner #plussize by @berthapearlsizequeen

I have been wanting to to make this for a while, and finally had the time. This thick neon sweatshirt fleece, with Minky pastel fur hearts .. my messy workspace in the background.. only a few more days till the Fat Joy Event! Do you have your tix? Fat Joy is this Sunday October 25th in Campbell. Tix at fatjoyevent.com. This is a long cape in burgundy flocked taffeta . The flocked print is leaves on a vine with a little bit of sparkle, and the ties are flowers I made. I love using the fringe ends of the fabric...it's so pretty. Cape is on my dress form. #fatjoyevent #fancycapes #plussizefashion #indiedesigner by @berthapearlsizequeen

Fall is coming in Ca… and plaid flannel is cozy!!! This mid length duster is a perfect throw on . I put it over an orange and black chevron striped tank dress. Fat Joy event is almost here, you can try this on there! Image description: a plaid flannel mid length duster in oranges , teals and browns is over a black and orange chevron stripe tank dress. Flowers and the cosmos come together in this cozy cape. Polar fleece is lightweight and warm. And I made a cuff at the end , so it doesn’t have to fly up when the wind hits. You can try it on at the Fat Joy Conference on October 25th.. FATJOYEVENT.com for tickets, @bigsexychat for more info. The cape is longer in front with two patch pockets and a removable button closure. The cape is om a mannequin in front of my workspace door in the first photo, and in my workspace in the 2nd and 3rd. #fatjoyconference #capes #indiedesign #plussizeclothing by @berthapearlsizequeen

I think long bloomers are fun, and I had a little bit left of my watermelon fabric . I got this fabric for a Palestinian fundraiser..since this is the last of it, 50% of this sale will go to help Raindove relocate folks to safety. I will also be making bloomers in the paisley fabric. They will be for sale at the Fat Joy conference in October. This is definitely a piece that would look better on a model. It is a 4x on a size large dress form. Black mesh is always sexy!!! I got this cute and silly fabric a long time ago. It is soooooo soft. I decided to make a calf length t shirt dress. It has dropped sleeves and a deep V neckline. Getting ready for October Fat Joy conference. I have had this vintage sheer for a long time, and had this dress in my head.. but I needed time for it.. so I finally did it. Perfect for a Victorian scene.. lots of lace, lots of time. I am really pleased with it. This will fit 3x-6x . The neckline gathers with a pull on both sides, and the waist and sleeves have a ribbon pull. Image description: a sheer peach dress with peach lace trim on the neckline, sleeves waist and hem.
