How to summarise The Shawshank Redemption, with all its narrative arcs, intrigue and drama, in just 30 seconds? Without giving too much away? If anyone can do it, it's the cast themselves. We put three key cast members of the upcoming stage adaptation - David Berry* (Andy Dufresne), Bert LaBonté (‘Red’ Redding), and Rodger Corser (The Warden) - up to the task. Based on Stephen King’s celebrated 1982 novella, which was then immortalised in the Oscar-nominated 1994 film starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, this intimate adaptation features a star-studded cast telling the story up close and personal. Get your tickets for the story you love, live on stage at the link in bio. The Shawshank Redemption: Live On Stage 3 February - 7 March | Playhouse #TheShawshankRedemption #ArtsCentreMelbourne #WhatsOnMelbourne *Please note, David Berry will not be performing 18–21 February. by @bertlabee
Last year was a crazy good year. And I again got the chance to work on an incredible new Australian drama with some of the best in the country at the helm and on the screen. Dustfall premieres tonight at 8.20pm on @abciview and @abcaustralia and on @bbc in the UK. @appletv have also bought it for 🌍 distribution. Directed by the genius of @emmafreemanmakesfilms and incredibly shot by @markwarehamphotog starring the formidable @anna_torv_ @zoe.phillipz @boxkatebox and so many more. It’s dark, gritty incredibly topical and current drama and all in brilliant tropic noir Australian beauty. Tune in tonight. So grateful for this amazing show produced by Anna and Emma as well @deb_bal @xavmarch and @daisyicgilbert #aussiedrama #dustfall #abciview by @bertlabee
