Jessica Cruz is a prominent superheroine from DC Comics and a member of the Green Lantern Corps and the Justice League. Created by writer Geoff Johns and artist Ethan Van Sciver, she made her full debut in *Justice League* #31 in August 2014. She is particularly notable for being the first human woman from Earth to officially become a Green Lantern.
Jessica Cruz's story is defined by its deep psychological weight and her struggle to overcome adversity:

The Initial Trauma: During a hunting trip in the woods with friends, the group accidentally stumbled upon criminals burying a body. To eliminate witnesses, the criminals murdered all her friends; Jessica was the only one who managed to escape. Following this horrific event, she developed severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and agoraphobia. She spent four years confined to her room, completely consumed by fear and anxiety. The Ring of Volthoom: After the death of the Earth-3 Power Ring, the evil Ring of Volthoom—which feeds on fear and seeks hosts with broken wills—located her and forced her to wield its power. For a time, she operated under this destructive influence until, with the Justice League's help, she managed to resist it.
Her Rise as a Green Lantern: During the events of the *Darkseid War*, Jessica demonstrated extreme bravery while attempting to save her teammates. As she stood on the brink of death, an official Green Lantern Corps ring selected her as a legitimate bearer, recognizing her immense capacity to overcome profound fear.

Identity and Design: She is a character of Honduran (Latina) descent and resides in Portland, Oregon. Early in her superhero career, she was partnered with fellow Earth-based Green Lantern Simon Baz, forming a close alliance to protect Space Sector 2814.

The Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic militarized police force from DC Comics dedicated to maintaining peace and justice in the cosmos. Created over three billion years ago by the Guardians of the Universe—a race of blue-skinned immortals based on the planet Oa—this corps patrols the farthest reaches of the universe.

Notable Green Lanterns from Earth:
Hal Jordan: The first human to be officially recruited; often considered the greatest Green Lantern of all time due to his unwavering determination.

John Stewart: ,A skilled architect and former U.S. Marine distinguished by the mathematical precision, solidity, and structural rigidity of his constructions.

Kyle Rayner—Earth's last Green Lantern—was created by writer Ron Marz and artist Darryl Banks, making his debut in *Green Lantern* #48 in 1994. He is widely recognized as the final Green Lantern and the "Torchbearer" who kept the Green Lantern Corps' legacy alive after the organization was completely destroyed. Unlike his predecessors, Kyle is defined not by military discipline but by an extraordinary artistic and creative mind, allowing him to manifest the most complex and detailed energy constructs in the entire comic book universe.
Bearer of the Last Ring: Following Hal Jordan's descent into madness (becoming Parallax) and the destruction of the Green Lantern Corps, the Guardian Ganthet traveled to Earth carrying the final power ring.
Chosen in an Alley: Ganthet did not choose Kyle for his lack of fear; rather, he selected him by chance in a Los Angeles alleyway, transforming him overnight into the universe's sole protector.

Tomar-Re is one of the most iconic and respected members of the Green Lantern Corps in the DC Comics universe. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane, he made his first appearance in June 1961 in *Green Lantern* Vol. 2 #6. His distinctive amphibian- or avian-like appearance reveals his alien origins.
He is a Xudarian scientist; before wielding the power ring, he was a prominent scientist on his home planet, Xudar.
He patrols Sector 2813; the Guardians of the Universe assigned him to protect this cosmic sector, which is directly adjacent to Earth's sector (2814).
His role within the Green Lantern Corps is that of a recruit instructor; thanks to his patience and wisdom, he became instrumental in training new Corps members, including characters such as Arisia.
He was the first Green Lantern to receive and guide the human Hal Jordan following the tragic death of their mutual friend, Abin Sur.

Guy Gardner is one of the most iconic, controversial, and charismatic members of DC Comics' intergalactic Green Lantern Corps. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane in 1968, he stands out from Earth's other Green Lanterns (such as Hal Jordan or John Stewart) due to his arrogant, hyper-competitive, and rebellious personality—as well as his bowl cut.
He is a substitute of sorts; Abin Sur's ring originally chose Hal Jordan simply because he was closer, though Guy Gardner was the second choice, being equally qualified. Early in his superhero career, he suffered a bus accident followed by a coma, preventing him from actively serving during his initial years. Upon waking from the coma, his personality changed drastically; he became abrasive, loud, and a constant headache for the Justice League.
His unique characteristics include a distinctive uniform: unlike the classic spandex suits worn by the rest of the Corps, Guy prefers a high-collared green leather jacket and tall boots.
Massive willpower: His power ring often flickers or crackles because his willpower borders on uncontrollable rage.

Arisia Rrab is a prominent member of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps. She was created by writers Len Wein and Mike W. Barr, along with artist Joe Staton, making her official debut in the comic *Tales of the Green Lantern Corps* #1 in May 1981. Arisia's home planet is Graxos IV, and she is a humanoid with golden hair and pointed, elf-like ears. She comes from a heroic lineage, belonging to a dynasty of Green Lanterns. She was chosen by the Guardians of the Universe at the age of 13—becoming one of the Corps' youngest recruits—following the deaths of her relatives in the line of duty. Arisia underwent a process of subconscious maturation; initially, she had a childlike mindset and a massive crush on Hal Jordan. Because her ring responded directly to her willpower, she subconsciously caused her body to age into adulthood to be a better match for Hal, subsequently entering into a long-lasting romantic relationship with him. Following the events of *Crisis on Infinite Earths*, she moved to Earth alongside other Lanterns such as Kilowog, Ch'p, and Salaak, adopting the secret identity of "Cindy Simpson." Like all Green Lanterns, Arisia wields the most powerful weapon in the universe, fueled by her willpower. This grants her the ability to create solid energy constructs, project energy blasts, fly through space, translate languages universally, and scan environments—abilities that make her an outstanding Green Lantern. by @berto___martinez

Kilowog is one of the most iconic and respected members of the Green Lantern Corps, renowned as the gruff yet kind-hearted drill sergeant responsible for training all new recruits (whom he affectionately calls "poozers" or "useless rookies"). Created by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton, he made his debut in *Green Lantern Corps* #201 in June 1986.
Kilowog hails from the planet Bolovax Vik and protects Space Sector 674. Before wielding the ring, he was a brilliant genetic scientist and a mechanical genius on his home world.
Physically, he is characterized by a massive, gigantic build and features that blend porcine and bulldog-like traits, along with red skin.
His personal tragedy is being the last survivor of his species. During the cosmic event *Crisis on Infinite Earths*, his planet was destroyed; Kilowog managed to temporarily save the souls of his 16 billion compatriots by storing them within his ring's energy, though the planet was ultimately erased from existence.
Kilowog is a legendary mentor who has shaped and trained Earth's most prominent Green Lanterns, including Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Kyle Rayner.
His exceptional abilities include immense natural physical strength and mastery over the power ring, allowing him to create incredibly solid constructs thanks to his indomitable willpower and engineering expertise.
