hello and welcome to my maroon maxxing era !!!! finally upgraded my iphone, bought a new @page.theshop kindle case, and splurged on abercrombie sweaters this month- HELLO FALL 🍁👻🍷🥰🍂

the changing of the seasons is finally here for me, and when i tell you i can feel it in my BONES🩻 things are just shifting and i absolutely love getting out of my skins and entering something new for myself and my life. feeling recharged and ready to face what’s ahead <3

i started my acotar reread and i was literally up till 2am finishing it… 2021 me is so BACKKKK YALL. i also have a ton of arcs if started making my way through, and im so excited to share my thoughts and reviews on them with you guys !!

book review: let’s kiss and tell by joss richards

joss richards blessing us with another book so soon after her debut was exactly what i needed during the summer slump i was in earlier this year. as a fellow filipina, the representation in mainstream romance means more than i could ever describe. joss will always be an auto buy author for me- bc we are deserving of whirlwind romance too!

Lucy is a proud sex columnist who loves to write about why women don’t need to be in relationships- until she finds herself in a position to prove her writing by flipping her perspective the other way. enter Marshall, the new senior writer at the sister company that Lucy writes for... tall, reserved, sexy- and Lucy’s new fake boyfriend!

these two had a really great dynamic- kind of grumpy x sunshine but less trope-ified if that makes sense. he was soft where she was rough, she was spunky where he was bland. my favorite thing about the two of them was the way they were surprised, yet captivated, every time they went deeper and learned something else about each other. they really cared for one another and there was no denying that ever.

towards the middle/end, Lucy’s resistance to Marshall started to frustrate me a little. not to invalidate her fears, but it persisted to a point where feel like she was pushing away the Marshall just because she was so relationship-averse for so long. which i understood where that came from- her past, her parents, her experience... but i felt like she was taking it out on Marshall and that wasnt fair.

in the end, they make it through and together! bless up because they really were so sweet with each other and deserved this happy ending <3 by @berty.reads

im a wife !! 9.19.26. my love story of a lifetime <3

last weekend i finally married the love of my life- my high school sweetheart, my best friend, my person.

12 years of being by each others side through college, career shifts, getting a dog, buying a house, and consistently choosing us over and over again- saying “i do” was a piece of cake (whole foods berry chantilly to be exact).

we were surrounded by so many special people in our lives during our wedding weekend- the amount of love we felt was immeasurable, truly. every moment, ill cherish so deep in my heart.

augusttttt oh how i loved you. you were crazy, fun, full of so much joy i can’t even put it all into words !!!

august felt long as hell, and like it had seasons of its own- a lot of highs and a lot of lows too. altogether i did feel like it was the emotionally well rounded month i needed to prepare for september !!

im READDDYYYY FOR SPOOKY SEASON !!!! someone get me a pumpkin cream cold brew and a 5 star spooky read RN !!!!

took a bit off booksta to go on my bachelorette, my best friend’s the weekend after, and then lock tf back into planning since i’ve officially hit the one month mark till my wedding! EEEEKKKK🫪

i can’t promise i’ll be posting consistently multiple times a week between now and this damn wedding, but i am definitely BACK on socials and want to see what you guys are up to !!!

just sitting in my guest room feeling gratefulness to myself bc i basically made this a second room for me when i moved in w my fiancé 🥰🥰🥰 LOL

but fr every once in a while i love to stare and my bookshelves and remember all the feelings and emotions+ the friends and connections i made from ever single book i’ve read over the last 5 or so years 🥹

life is such a journey and there have been so many huge chapters of my in the last few years.. it’s so grounding to know that i can always look back and these stories and remember the time of life i was in and how it got me through 😭😭😭

recently i’ve been going to my all women’s gym’s mindset meetings where we journal over specific topics once a month… and when i tell you how therapeutic….. yall they were right !!!!!

park maxxing. picnic maxxing. print maxxing. dog maxxing. relax maxxing. summer maxxing. slowing down maxxing. touching grass maxxing. feeling the wind on your skin maxxing.

slowed down for a bit this week and took life in at its most basic, w my chicken of course !! taking a few last big deep breaths before all the craziness starts !!
