A client in Flinders recently commissioned this wonderful cascading bird bath as a feature for his garden.. by creating holes and a spill way in two baths water is able to gently fall and circulate. A fantastic design that adds a calm rhythm to the garden and takes bird baths to the next level #fountain #waterfeature #melbournegardens #gardendesign #bespokebirdbaths taken in Flinders Beach by @bespokebirdbaths

What I enjoy most about making bird baths is creating surface textures that reflect the landscape. leaves, nuts, cones, shells, even animal feet leave fantastic marks in concrete when pressed into the surface. Working on a commission basis allows me to create baths that are site specific and responsive to their intended location. Clients can even get involved and source their own found materials so that the bath becomes deeply personal and unique to their garden. Can you identify the plant used to make the pictured surface texture ?? . #birdbath #australianlandscape #landscapearchitecture #gardenart by @bespokebirdbaths

Loving how these Lucadendrons frame this bath. This 80cm custom bath features textures from a banksia integrafolia cone. All my baths are one of a kind and reflect the Australian landscape. #lucadendron #custommade #banksiaintegrifolia #aussiebackyard #concrete by @bespokebirdbaths

Sunset in the shade of a Zelkova tree on the Mornington Peninsula. This is an 80cm bath sitting softly above a grevillea ground cover. #bespokebirdbaths #birdbaths #landscapedesi̇gn #australianbackyard by @bespokebirdbaths

This 1m bath is sitting pretty under a leptospermum copper glow that has been pruned to expose its sculptural branches. This shot is a great example of how the position of a bird bath can enhance the experience of a garden as it reflects the surrounding foliage and creates an expanded view of the landscape. 📸 @clintonmurray #birdbaths #landscapedesi̇gn #waterfeature #foliage #concretelife by @bespokebirdbaths
