Some sneak peeks at this week’s shoot with the talented and lovely @amberchilton.photo 💘💘

This summer has been a season of pulling my energy inward. Cleansing my body and aura. Pivoting. Being grounded in my body, in my feminine intuition, in the now. Sometimes the ending of one cycle requires a breath before the beginning of another. I can’t wait to share these things with you. For now, I’m creating in slower ways behind the scenes (iykyk). I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves in these tender times 💘

Love,

Bessa 🫶🏼

Reclaiming clay is messy, but a very important part of the process.

• Recycled clay is better for the environment because every scrap becomes a mug, vase, or bowl ♻️

• Reusing clay scraps saves money by reducing the amount of clay we have to buy at our local supply shop 💸

• Reclaim helps us have control over the elasticity / consistency of the clay we use 🤎

•It’s fun and gives us a break from making 🫶🏼

Respectfully, I think adults should frolic through flowers with their friends more 🌼🌸🌺

Some of my fav mugs from my most recent firing. They were all dropped off in Portland & Damariscotta. They have a dreamy, nostalgic, whimsical vibe to them as I’ve been so deeply inspired by Maine Summers 🌸🪻🌼💐

Shop them at @a.w.d.studios & @peace_gallery_maine 💘

My first coiled pot since undergrad. I truly missed making bigger, more expressive, asymmetrical vessels that I can carry in my arms. So grateful this is my life 🤎

The house (& life) has been full lately.

More friends. More kids. More noise. More life. More love. Widening circle. Living deeply fuels my creativity more than my hyper independence ever did.

Winter mugs. Made during a season of expansion.

My pottery is now available at my friend Anysa’s shop in Portland! We graduated together last spring (shout out MECA&D c/o ‘25). It’s surreal that this is where we are 9 months post graduation! She is such a gem in the community and really supports local artists. Stop by and show some love to the many local makers in this space ✨✨
