last Easter i was in a completely different mindset. i had just gone through two years of losing grandparents and i was questioning God and what could possibly be good in this plan that He supposedly had for me. some days, i still question it. it’s not a question that really ever goes away, but one that eventually switches tone. instead of clutching the steering wheel while listening to this on the radio, i sing the lyrics proudly and joyfully dream of the life God will provide. this wasn’t a fast switch, or one that i could ever really explain. it has been over a decade of going back and forth on if God was real or good or even decent. when saying the Nicene Creed in mass i would skip the part that claimed i looked forward to the resurrection of the dead because i never did. this year, i’m aware of the goodness that flows from the altar BECAUSE God rests there. so don’t be discouraged when you have questions for Jesus, He was called Rabbi for a reason. He always has time to teach. one part i’m still learning is even if my time on this earth is never deemed “good” or “worthy” in societal standards by money or possessions, a life for Him is a life i will always being willing to live. death could not defeat Him, death will not defeat us who believe in Him💛 by @beth.is.back

the spongebob musical: 2026 senior show edition

after 7 years and 7 shows dedicated to this theater, it is finally time to say goodbye. every show i have done has taught me something new and given me a new friend, memory, prayer, or all of those. back in 6th grade i had no idea why i wanted to do theater, i was honestly just trying out for anything that would have me and i am forever grateful that it stuck. through seussical, mary poppins, willy wonka, beauty and the beast, 9 to 5, the little mermaid, and now spongebob, i have found a place and community that i could never dream of forgetting or leaving behind. troupe 7549, i thank you for showing me that i belonged in rooms i had never entered and a stage i had only dreamt of setting foot on. you pushed me to get out of my “dancer first” mindset and work on becoming a well rounded performer. i truly could not have made it this far without God putting each and every one of you in my life. thank you for having me, karen out 💜 taken in The Chum Bucket by @beth.is.back
