PDX to DFW. July 2026. We both really enjoyed Texas, and look forward to our next trip there. (Already planning it) We stayed at the Omni Las Colinas. Temps were close to 100 everyday. Enjoyed the pool and sunshine every moment possible. by @beth2024vanwa

A quick vacation to find a warmer temperature! And hot enough weather to soothe the mentality. The long drive wasn’t so great through flat central Oregon but southern Oregon was worth the drive. In Redding, pollen was at a high, glad I brought my Kleenex box! But was so wonderful and warm! I need another vacation immediately, the long drive home took me out! by @beth2024vanwa

An unexpected turn of events. Luckily all went well and I’m back home again. Went in on Saturday for upper back pain and crushing chest pain. They immediately did an EKG, took blood, and did a CAT scan. The only thing that showed something was troponin in my blood. Mine was elevated. They continuously did more checks on the troponin level to see the trend. Up or down. It went up. Luckily they gave me nitro to ease my pain and blood pressure. Sunday they did an echo-cardiogram. Again it looked fine. Monday they got me ready for angiogram and while in there, they set two stents, one on a 70% block and another on a 90% block. I do have a 40% block but they don’t fix a 40. So with a whole new slew of medications I’m back home and feeling really good! Technology is amazing. If you ever feel chest pain, like squeezing or crushing, that makes you breathless, get checked out. I felt like I had no choice, I was so out of breathe and done with the crushing feeling. And make sure they do a blood test. I’m so thankful I can live life again! by @beth2024vanwa

Long Beach July 2025. Been a bit since I came back and actually make a post about it. A trip we (me, the dog and the cat) had to take so the hardwood floor could get done. Had a few nice days, plenty of good beach walks, naps and clam chowder. by @beth2024vanwa

Had to add some flowers to my page to mix it up a little. I’m enjoying the morning sunshine. Ready to give the Trex deck its yearly cleaning. I started last week with the post caps. Today I’ll do the railings and posts. I use Dawn dish soap, water and a magic eraser 🫧 not much elbow grease required. by @beth2024vanwa
