Came into this world at 3:05pm and was swiftly scooped back up into the arms of heaven shortly afterwards. I don’t know why, I can’t see the big picture right now, but I know that our God is good and that this is hard but that He is near. When we found out that we were going to be having a baby, I prayed that our little one would be a connecter- someone who brought people together and not only made them feel loved and known by him and our Father, but helped others to know that they are absolutely known, seen and loved. Over the past month Jimmy and I have talked with people that we have never met before, reconnected with those who have walked life alongside us in the past, and prayed with those who God has placed in our lives currently. Every single prayer that has been prayed on our family’s behalf was heard, was felt by us and is still and will forevermore be deeply, deeply appreciated. I think it’s pretty safe to say that God answered my prayer for Griffin’s life, and I have no doubt that He will continue to do so. I have a lot of joy in knowing that one day, when I reach heaven’s gates, after I run into the arms of Jesus, Griffin will run into mine and he will get to tell me all about his life that he’s lived in wholeness and oneness with God. Until then, every day, I hope to honor the memory of the little boy who made me a mom and my incredible husband a dad. Happy Father’s day Jimmy 💙 you are so strong, so selfless and have been such a rock during this time-to get to walk so closely with you through all of this has truly been a blessing and getting to watch you serve not only me, but all of the doctors and nurses and our family members has been humbling and has changed me forever.
