I recently picked up some nicer gouache and have been painting little 4x6" paintings in my small sketchbook. It's been a challenge to get used to, but I've really been enjoying the process and experimenting with color, brushes, etc. I don't always like how they turn out, but I'm learning more and more with each one ✨ Felt like sharing a handful of pieces I've made so far even if they're rough around the edges #gouache #gouachepainting #sketchbook by @bethanyaban

The Witch's Lodge: Morning Notes 📜🖋️

Took a little break from posting for a bit there! Starting back where I left off with the other lighting scene of my layout that I left sitting in my folder for a month hehe

I wanted this version to be moodier and quieter, with deeper shadows and cooler colors to contrast the bright and dreamy afternoon setting. I also wanted the witch (Nicole) to almost disappear with the background despite being framed by the lighting (kinda like the feeling when you wake up and you're still separating yourself from your bed/surroundings). Which version do you prefer now that they're both rendered?

The Witch's Lodge : Afternoon Tea 🫖

Afternoon lighting over the base paint. I wanted it to be very dreamy with all that dust in the air. The morning scene will be coming soon!

The Workspaces of TotK: Princess Zelda's Secret Well
Zelda in her lofi era 🎧 Swipe to see her janky in-game workspace

Been a long time coming to make a few Tears of the Kingdom/Breath of the Wild fanart. I was super stoked to do some quick studies of different workshops/workspaces in TotK (like lil cute but rough plans and sections + relevant notes), but man this piece just wouldn't cooperate with me for some reason. Eventually managed through after some notes! Thank you @xiaogabe for offering some v helpful suggestions and advice to get me moving in a direction! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 So very much appreciated 🙇🏻‍♀️

Another quick #heavypaint sketch. Had a hard time with this one compared to yesterday's. I'm still getting familiar with the brushes, but I think I'm starting to get a feel for it...turned out ok I guess. Although, I told myself to go looser and I definitely did not lol so gotta give it another go again
