Matthew and I are thrilled to announce that we are adopting!

After years of dreaming and praying, we have felt the Lord’s hand in giving us unity of mind as we move forward in this exciting journey!

We recognize that at its core, adoption exists out of loss and brokenness, but we wholeheartedly believe, that in the Lord’s gracious kindness, there is so much beauty as well. We believe that adoption is an incredible picture of the Gospel, as we too have been adopted by the Father, and are called Sons and Daughters, embraced into His family.

We pray that just as we have received love, by God’s grace, we may be a vessel to show and extend Christlike love to the child that the Lord so intentionally places into our family.

May He give us the grace to be His hands and feet in loving our neighbor and honoring Him in all we do as a family.

We anticipate this journey taking a year and a half, and deeply appreciate your prayers as we walk through this process.

We have some exciting news to share….. we are MATCHED with an incredible mama! Thank you Jesus! We are continuing to trust Him as this story unfolds, but we are so thankful for this courageous woman, and for this little life that he is knitting and forming! We are incredibly honored to be walking this journey alongside her.

The coziest baked oatmeal 🤍 perfect to prepare and pop in the oven before the babes wake up, or make with little helping hands if you have an early riser like I often do.
Share, or save for later 🫶🏽

Blueberry Baked Oatmeal:

Ingredients
• ⅔ cup chopped pecans
• 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¾ tsp sea salt
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• 1¾ cups milk of choice
• ⅓ cup maple syrup (or honey)
• 2 eggs
• 3 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil (divided)
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups blueberries, divided- I use frozen

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, pecans, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, eggs, half of the melted butter (or coconut oil), and vanilla extract.
4. Spread about 1.5 cups of blueberries in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the berries, then pour the wet ingredients over the top. Gently press the oats down so they’re evenly moistened.
5. Scatter the remaining blueberries over the top.
6. Bake for 42–45 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the oatmeal is set.
7. Drizzle with the remaining melted butter before serving, if desired.

We love ours warm with Greek yogurt, or a side of chicken sausage. It also reheats beautifully for easy breakfasts all week! 🤍
