I wish that I could go back and relive this day over and over again! What a joyful celebration that was just a preview of all the joy and love in the year that has followed! Our life is a testimony of the goodness of God! One down, forever to go. 🤍

1 year ago today.

I only knew Derek for a year and a half, but I learned more from him during that time than I could ever describe…resilience, faith, contentment, generosity, grit…to name just a very few things. Being welcomed into a family with a “Job-sized faith” grows you in ways you never could have imagined.

I’m truly beyond blessed that I get to spend the rest of my life with someone whose greatest role model, favorite coach, and incredible father is Derek Roberts. I am the daily recipient of a servant-hearted love that can only come from someone who saw it modeled daily.

And now I get the honor of raising a little boy who carries on the name and legacies of some pretty incredible firstborn sons…what a privilege and a gift. by @bethanybrileyroberts

1 year ago today.

I thought after a year had passed, I’d be able to better put words to all that June 1, 2025 means to me. A year later, my words still fall very short.

For now, June 1 is a reminder that God gives good gifts even in the midst of hard seasons, and that the more control I surrender, the more I’m able to delight in his plans and ways that are so high above my own.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Two years ago, Logan was driving me home from a date, and I had an alarming realization. I remember looking at him and saying, “If things keep going well with us, there’s a chance I may have to raise a Roberts boy one day, and I’m not strong enough for that.” He looked at me and said said, “You will be.” I started crying.

Baby BOY Roberts, we can’t wait to meet you!! 🥹🩵 The biggest surprise of our lives is also the sweetest gift we’ve ever received.
