Fifteen whole years, gone in a blink. It’s hard to believe that this month back in 2008 I was absolutely terrified, living on a dime and at my wits’ end, working from a home office in Hanoi with my ONLY client (@bonnie_and_the_rose). Revisiting the work of these last 15 years, Im overwhelmed and so honored to have been trusted with such deeply personal and vulnerable moments, by so many. In March, I got to see this sea organ by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić, in the beautiful, small, historic town of Zadar. Spanning more than 70 meters along the promenade, the sea organ is made up of 35 tubes of different lengths and diameters, and hides beneath the marble blocks that make up the steps to the sea.As waves crash against the coast, they force air into the underwater channels, (five tones//seven chords) so you hear a continuous, entirely random, non-repeating dissonant song.Structure and Instrument and Dream.#sayyes#croatia#workingremotely#design by @bethanyjbauman

I first learned about International Women’s Day my first year teaching in Hanoi, in 2006, and I have to this day never received so many flowers as I did that day. My university students had no money, and the pure gold they came into the classroom holding that day…I will never ever forget it.I wonder every day how our culture in America celebrates women- truly, how do we? I see us collectively screaming at the top of our lungs, and I also see torch-bearers everywhere shining light. What a gift, to be walking in the afternoon last fall the day before I returned to Hanoi, to encounter this sweet and beautiful soul who let me sit in the grass like the true child I am and capture her as best I could. Women, from all walks of life around this globe, you are incredible. You are loved. Let’s keep it moving. #internationalwomensday by @bethanyjbauman

Signs and signals of love all around: to notice, to focus on, to cultivate and grow, to fight for, to be.-a happenstance (is that real?). selection from a wishing tree at a temple entrance in Tokyo in 2007, beside @lia.halpin, this little tag has been an honor to carry with me since.-daily morsels and reminders from near and far-from one of my life’s great loves-a blessing from a prayer wall at church, also by ‘chance’, now known to have been written by a neighbor friends’ child-beloved print from @tiredcity_official with @henry_germainn -blessed porch drop vibes from The Dreamers + their rainbows -where we navigate sacred conversations in sacred spaces with lifelong and truest loves- a new thing I’m trying to replace swiping with connection (cheer me on if you see it irl!)- one of the most beautiful stories and character development I’ve ever encountered. What an honor, to be gifted this book ‘because the story reminded me of you. So dear and tender.-a pipe organ I got to see today, which was built for the space but at install, the lowest wooden pipes needed to be mitred to accommodate a lower-than-expected ceiling. Because music can’t not.To see beauty is not delusion. Kindness is rebellion. Perfect love casts out fear.Light dispels darkness.❤️ by @bethanyjbauman

@southalltn has 8 million bees that they bred to specifically be happy bees. The colony’s queens are sought after globally, and how I ever found myself on the guest list for this incredible experience, I don’t know. (I’m still pinching myself).@williamshoneytn and team, thank you for the soundbath/meditation with the bees, where we got the chance to be in their presence and align with their (452Hz!) frequency. Thank you for your lessons and wisdom and connection and wildly tasty offerings.
