it took me a couple days to get my thoughts together, so excuse the delayed post! i could never have imagined when i opened the doors to round up vintage a year ago just how dramatically it would impact my life. i always wanted for the shop to be so much more than a store. i envisioned it as a (very aesthetic) safe space to encourage conversation, foster relationships, and find shared love and interests with anyone who walked in. and little rock, you have blown me away.

a year ago i was meeting each of you for the very first time. people who had driven by and seen the bright awning (only up for 7 or 8 months early), found us on social media, or heard through word of mouth. i was nervous and excited, not having a clue how myself (or the shop i poured my heart into) would be received. i had friends from out of town with me scrambling last minute to get the shop ready, and a few late night breakdowns. now, a year later, i got to celebrate with the community that round up vintage has created for me. i got to welcome you in by name, give long hugs, and share one too many shots of fireball with people i can call friends.

the vintage community here was such a welcome surprise, and i couldn’t recap
my year without mentioning this. y’all are amazing. i was anticipating a competitive environment and instead was invited in and hyped up. so many of you i have bought from, made you model, cross promoted… it’s incredible the encouragement we are able and want to give one another. thank you for including me.

i am eternally grateful for all of your support this past year. and that support goes so far behind the store doors. through breakups, moves, illness, broken tail bones (never forget the donut!), y’all have been there for me in ways i couldn’t have imagined. we have shared so much laughter, a few tears, long, rambling conversations in the “living room” … and a lot of talk about hot flashes. rest assured, i will never censor myself.

so, a year later, i want to say THANK YOU. y’all have made a transplant not only feel like they belong, but that they are making a difference here. little rock, i appreciate you, your continued patronage, and everything yet to come 🧡 taken in Round Up Vintage by @bethanymorgio
