I’m Bethany Perry, a multidisciplinary artist passionate about self-expression and self-confidence.

The Body Impression Workshop is coming back for one night this December ✨

Quite a few of you have been asking when I’ll be holding another workshop, so here we go!

I’m planning an evening of creativity and body celebration in early December, on either a Friday or Saturday, from 7–9:30pm.

📍 Hungerford, West Berkshire — between Newbury and Marlborough
✨ Just 10 spaces

✨WE CONTROL NOTHING.

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.

We spend so much of our lives believing we’re in control. We plan, we worry, we try to make sense of everything, and somehow convince ourselves that life will unfold the way we expect it to.

But the truth is, we control very little.

Life can change in an instant. Someone we love can be here one moment and gone the next. And all those things we spend so much time worrying about suddenly seem so insignificant.

I think the ego plays a huge part in this. That need to control, to be right, to hold on to things, to believe we’re somehow in charge. And perhaps that’s one of the greatest weaknesses of the human condition.

Because what happens when we let go of the ego? When we stop trying to control everything and just allow ourselves to live?

I think there’s an enormous amount of freedom in that.

Say the things you need to say. Love people while they’re here. Find as much joy as you possibly can, even in the smallest things. Don’t waste your life holding on to anger, resentment or things that really don’t matter.

Because ultimately, what does matter?

For me, it’s who we become, what we choose to give our precious time to, how we treat people and the impact we leave on others.

We have no idea how long we have here.

We control nothing. And maybe that’s something we need to learn to be okay with.

☀️'GODDESS' | mixed media - A reminder of the power we all hold within. ✨

This was the very first body impression I ever supersized, and she still holds so much power for me.

Originally created from an impression of my own body, I loved the smaller piece so much (which later sold in Soho) that I decided to recreate her on a much larger scale.

She’s unapologetically imposing.

Her body is built up with layers of mixed media, gold and resin, with the finest gold shimmer suspended within. When the light catches her, her entire body glows against that deep, matte black background.

And for me, that’s what Goddess represents.

Finding our light, even when we’re surrounded by darkness.

Life throws so much at us. We all experience pain, negativity, uncertainty and moments that challenge us. But I believe we all have this incredible strength within us.

It’s how we respond, how we learn to soothe ourselves, how we process what we feel, and how we grow through those difficult moments that matters.

Not allowing the darkness to consume us, but learning how to find our way back to our own light.

Goddess is a celebration of that inner strength. Of resilience, growth and the power we sometimes forget we have.

She’s currently hanging proudly in a dear friend’s home in London, and I love that every time I visit, a little piece of me is there too. ❤️

“Nothing grows without light.”

😔 I've been away for a while now. I haven't abandoned you all I promise, but this year has been thrusting change on me.

I’m rubbish at meditating or devoting consistent time to a spiritual practice. There have been periods in my life when I’ve been much better at it, more connected, more disciplined, more present...but over the last few years I’ve definitely let that slip.

What I do know, though, is that when life tests me, I instinctively lean into meditation, reflection and the practices that help me make sense of the shit life dumps in my lap.

I know I haven’t been very active on this page lately. I moved into semi-permanent makeup, and it’s been fulfilling a lot of my creative needs in a different way. But I do miss the freedom of painting. I miss creating spontaneously, without a brief, a deadline or an expectation attached to it. The freedom and healing it brings.

I know that balance will return, and eventually I’ll devote more time to my artwork again, working with more people, making work that feels meaningful, and putting visuals out into the world that might resonate with someone who needs them.

I miss the artworld. I miss friends and others artists I used to see and spend more time with. But life takes us through different chapters. Ultimately we are just passengers.

When I do return to art, it will look different. It will be without the pressure of gallery demands and disappointment. Without the constant pressure to earn, produce, sell, sell, sell.

🤍I want it to come from somewhere much purer.

A genuine need to soothe myself, express myself, process life and create something from whatever I’m moving through.

Maybe that’s where the light comes from.

There’s something so special about a one-to-one body impression sessions...

🫶🏻Choosing your colours, and turning your body into artwork that feels completely personal. ❤️

Vicky knew exactly what she wanted: a gorgeous ruby red. She’s recently moved into a new home and has plans to fill some of her wall space with body impressions, so we created both front and back impressions for her.

😍I absolutely love how these turned out. The lace detailing came through beautifully, and I can already imagine them framed and proudly displayed in her space. ✨

❤️‍🔥This piece was created during one of my body impression workshops using sepia pigment and gold leaf.

She arrived with lace underwear without a matching set, so I worked intuitively and added a gold-leafed bra detail directly onto the piece while finishing it — shaping something that felt balanced and complete.

💞I love decorating your Beautful bodies in gold leaf.. it's always feels so sacred and special.

Now she's wrapped and waiting to be collected

💫 Nothing feels more sacred than dousing your body in gold.

This is an imprint of a beautiful woman who came to me for a series of body impressions. Hot pink was the pigment that called to her, and she chose to have this particular piece detailed with gold leaf.

Skin, hair, moles… all the intricate and beautiful details that exist on the body are held here in this impression. A moment captured in time, created to honour and celebrate the body that carries you through everything.

I love this piece, and I can’t wait to send it off to the woman it belongs to... she's going to look gorgeous framed 🥰

I feel like so many of us need this one right now.

Warrior is one of my favourite pieces for so many reasons, but the main one is this: she is strength and resilience. She is power that has been shaped, not diminished, by experience.

Every time I look at her, I’m reminded that feeling broken is part of the human cycle—but it is never the end of the story. We can wear what we’ve lived through, and still stand rooted in strength.

I love seeing her in your homes, framed and mounted so beautifully. She always seems to settle into the space with quiet confidence.
