Hurricane Lala has greatly impacted our Kaʻū community, and as the rain continues, we want to be mindful of not only what we donate, but how we can help those items stay dry, protected, and useful for as long as possible. 🤍

Want to donate but don’t where to start?

This post simply acts as a guide to donating. You do NOT need to purchase containers or package your donations this way in order to give. All donations are welcome and appreciated!

Our volunteers will work to organize and distribute donated items into containers as needed before they make their way into the impacted communities.

The goal is simple: get as many useful resources as possible to the people who need them, while minimizing unnecessary traffic into Kaʻū and being mindful of the additional waste we bring into these areas.

Every donation to any hub or non-profit site big or small can make a difference. Mahalo to everyone who has stepped up to kōkua our Ka’u community during this time. 🤍 by @bethanyy.r

As I sit here reflecting on this past weekend, I am in complete awe.

Runway Hawaiʻi welcomed over 2,500 shoppers, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who showed up to support local businesses, our designers, and this dream that has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined.

To my incredible team, my family, my friends, our vendors, sponsors, models, and everyone who was a part of this event—mahalo. None of this would have been possible without you. Your support, trust, and countless hours of hard work helped bring this vision to life.

I never imagined life would take me down this path, and I feel incredibly privileged to be in a position where I get to create opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and work alongside so many inspiring business owners. Every gesture and all the makana meant so much to me, and truthfully, I felt like I deserved none of it. The love, support, and generosity from this community is something I will never take for granted.

From the very beginning, my only goal has been for these businesses to leave feeling successful, supported, and loved. I’m just one person who believes life is about more than ourselves, and that when we pour into our community, that impact continues far beyond what we can see. It creates opportunities, strengthens connections, and inspires people to pour back into others.

Runway Hawaiʻi has always been built on community, opportunity, and affordability. This event was a reminder of just how special our local business community truly is.

From the bottom of my heart, mahalo for trusting me, supporting this vision, and helping make this event such an incredible success. I am beyond grateful to be on this journey with all of you.

I can’t wait to do it all again. 🤍 by @bethanyy.r
