What an extraordinary man I had as my Daddy. Alex Tupman had relentless self belief, fierce confidence who always stood by the words “I can do it” and proved every-time that he could.
I got so lucky in being the daughter of a man who overflowed in every personality trait; determination 100% charisma 100% (as you can tell from the videos)
self belief - Resilience – kindness 100%
intelligence – Selflessness - generosity all 100%
He played rugby for England, was founder and CEO and then floated his company, won entrepreneur of the year in 2006 and was also in the ‘top 50 most ambitious business leaders in England in 2022.’
But, the most amazing thing about him was how much he was obsessed with mum and our family, put so much time and effort into us, loved us so deeply and was so outspoken about it. I got to experience what loud, strong & powerful love is.

My Dad believed in me and my talent so much, that he is the reason why I went ahead in pursuing a career as an Artist.
The amount he believed in me made it impossible for me to not believe in myself

He brought me up in every business meeting, told me everyday how proud he was. Flew out to LA and was in the studio when my song ‘irresponsible’ was made, which he described as was one of the best days of his life

Going forward in life without him is unfathomable. Excruciating isn’t a strong enough word because it’s just inexpressible.
I will look for my dad in everybody. I will search for an ounce of his character in everyone I meet.
I need to come to terms with the fact I will never find him in anybody, because nobody can equate.
I’ve heard the phrase “life’s not fair” used a lot when discussing my dad’s passing… but, I choose to reject that view.
Some people get good dads and great dads, some unfortunately don’t get good Dads.
However, I got an outstanding dad.
I am so grateful that I got all the years that I did, with the most incredible man as a dad..so, maybe that’s what makes life fair. I consider myself extremely lucky.
His motto is in life is to “never give up” and “to just go for it” I hope to be half the person Alex Tupman was, because the proudest thing about me is being his daughter by @bethbrandy
