My job as an artist is not to explain the world.

It’s this:

To reflect The Light of the World.
To make something beautiful with it.
To remind other people they can, too.

That’s my work.

Everything else is logistics. by @bethcanpaint

Happy New Year 🎉

Thanks for being here. I appreciate you 💞

Orange had a good run. 🌈

This week we’re filling the page with squashy scale, strange shapes, oodles of overlap and a surprising amount of perspective.

Pink? Yep. Turquoise? Obviously. Purple? Get in there.

There’s always room for one more squash.

When the largest sunflower field in Pennsylvania (200 plus acres and more than 5 million blooms) is in your backyard and the wonderful people who own it open it for free to the public every day🤯

Indescribable beauty. Thanks Lesher family 💞 see you next year. by @bethcanpaint

A black shape. Two skinny legs. One enormous eye.
Turns out, that’s plenty of bird. 🐦‍⬛

Add a bright field of flowers and a couple of friends and call it Black Birds & Blooms. 🌻

Our newest class from @bethcanpaint is in the @chicken_coop_club for members now! 👆

All gave some. Some gave all.

Spare a moment this weekend to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation 🇺🇸💕✝️ by @bethcanpaint

Epic project. Satisfied beyond expectations.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 by @bethcanpaint

We got married by a judge in front of my aunt's fireplace, during a snowstorm ❄️, the day after Christmas 🎄 ... Because we knew we could both reliably take that day of leave 😅

My aunt made my dress using a torn out magazine photo I mailed to her. Mom planned the whole thing because I lived 3,000 miles away and Mr. Bethcanpaint was deployed overseas.

Our music was provided by a lovely local musician with a portable electric piano, who only balked at my husband's request for her to play "You made me leave my happy home..." 🤣🤣🤣 (Since I Fell for You) by @bethcanpaint

All my amaryllis are potted up!

I feel like the bees are the guardians of my garden, but a few angels are great insurance ✨️

Angels will be included in my holiday drop on November 17th. Newsletter subscribers will get an early link. 🥳
