Eleven years and counting.

This week, longtime Bethel supporter Al Everett ran his 11th angel station for the Last Annual Vol State Road Race, a 314-mile trek across Tennessee with no official aid stations, just Tennesseans showing up for strangers. His station at McKenzie’s Farmer’s Market (mile 56!) had ice, water, cots, and Head Coach Chris Nelson right there with him, trading his clipboard for a water jug for the day.

Down the road, Bethel alum and standout Anna Trull was on her own front porch handing out popsicles to walkers. Coach Nelson made sure everyone at the station knew about it. That’s the culture around here.

Coach Jennifer Nelson, Team Manager Jay Camp, Todd Walker, and Richard Ozment all pitched in too.

Show up. Take care of the person next to you. Keep going. Sounds a lot like Bethel Basketball to us.

🏀🍌 The Savannah Bananas took home the championship, but EVERYBODY won this week at Chris Nelson’s Individual Skills Camp!

Our grades 6–9 campers showed OUT and we couldn’t be more proud.

Our Lady Wildcats brought the energy all three days — and the campers delivered right back. The K–5 championship game went to OVERTIME, with Hallie Cates hitting a clutch three to tie it up and then knocking down the game-winning free throw for Da Hoopers. 🎉
