We had such a wonderful time this past weekend work at @thelafayette for Alex and Drew’s big day!

Originally Alex decided on a more traditional wedding table arrangement but in our last meeting she decided to play into Lafayettes funky reception room and go full funk! And we are so happy she did. This room bringsssss the energy! And as Nancy says “the flowers are the lipstick”

And yes those are real plants and yes we want to use more plants in weddings! taken in The Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club & Bungalows by @bethetwig

Taper candles and wind are not too fond of one another! We lost a few good soldiers to the wind this past weekend so we thought we would give them a relaxing bath of de-greaser and scrubbing 🪦💔

In all seriousness candles are a lot of work! From traveling with loads of glass and hoping they don’t crack, setting them up, worrying about wind knocking them over and causeing a fire hazard to bringing them back to the shop and having to de-wax each holder and hurricane cover to cleaning them againnn with glass cleaner to give them that sparkle!

When clients ask “why are candles so expensive when I can just buy them on Amazon for cheap” our answer is always “so you don’t have to do the work! We will!” Cause who (other then vendors of course) want $62 glass taper candles covered in wax around there house?! taken in San Diego, California by @bethetwig

We’re still going to talk about it……

One thing that’s great about twigs is that since we have two head florists, mother daughter team @samantha.arms.strong and @narmstrong101 we are able to curate to all styles. Nancy gravitates towards the garden, clean girl, grown from the earth vibe. While Samantha gravitates towards the funky, clustered, structural style!
