Introducing Creators to Watch, our ongoing series spotlighting the engineers, producers, and music makers shaping the sound of the industry.

This week we’re highlighting two standout engineers whose credits speak for themselves. Both based in New York, @laurenmzz is a recording engineer who has worked with @haimtheband, @pompomsquad, @jackharlow, @samsmith, @lizzymcalpine, and @bleachersmusic. @bethjscott is a recording and mixing engineer with credits including @npr From The Top, @markambor, @bigthiefmusic, @samiatheband, and @arianagrande. WHO KNOWS OUT NOW!!

Mark, Parker and I had an absolute blast recording this song together. We could FEEL the magic in the room with this one. And crazy enough, we recorded it on Valentine’s Day, so it is full of love. Hope you can feel what we felt in the room that day❤️ super lucky to have been the engineer to capture Mark’s music ✨ catch us all yelling along and harmonizing at the end 🥳

having to promote myself feels like corporal punishment but alas I am too passionate about making art to let some silly social media marketing get in the way!

I have recently moved into a larger space in my apartment and have a STUDIO!! I want to WORK WITH YOU! This is a place to feel good. After going to Project La Rue, I was determined to cultivate a space that felt like a safe space for pure creation with everything easy and accessible. The studio includes instruments and gear I’ve been collecting for over a decade and art. As a creative I also love to create other forms of art so my studio includes a cubby for pottery, knitting, photography, journaling, etc. to evoke all forms of curiosity and imagination. We can record, produce, mix, write, anything! Coming into this space should feel like going into the mountains, the remote french countryside, your parents backyard, or your safe place.

I’m really hoping to specifically work on more mix projects in this season of life, but am really open to any work. I am flexible with budgets and genres and just really want to create something new! Ok. This is so embarassing lol. REACH OUT! I am here for you! by @bethjscott
