Life’s a journey… November 14, 2004 was a day in which marked a point where there was before November 14th and after.

God is merciful and faithful. There have been so many incredibly painful times over the past 21 years.

There has also been times of hearty laughter to the point of tears and overwhelming joy watching the faithfulness of God.

I continue to pray and trust the only one who can make beauty from ashes.

I love my kids, Alex, Aaron, Grace, and Ryan.

7,641 days ago…Sunday November 14, 2004 around 1:30 pm…I will never forget.

My oldest son woke up that morning a healthy energetic, six- year old but a few short hours later he would have to be rescued from the car that he had climbed into not giving a thought about the possibility that his next memories would be of waking up in a hospital not knowing anyone there, being unable to breathe on his own, unable to talk, and unable to move.

At home, the world of a four-year old best friend brother changed completely, and two others were too young(2 years old and 3 days old)then to know what was happening, but their lives too were radically impacted.

This world can be tough....Alex should not have survived...but he did. Life is precious. Be thankful for each moment.

Our hope and trust is not in this world or anything that it can provide. Our hope is in our sovereign Lord who is over ALL things...so incredibly thankful that He spared Alex that day 20 years ago....But God!

The countdown continues….190 days until the Cap City Half-marathon. Today was a jogging day, but because it was raining and windy, I ran inside on the treadmill at the Y. (I love that place!)

I’ve never used the interactive feature on the treadmill where you can play videos of places all over the world so today I thought I’d try it.

I took videos of the different screens of trails I went to but the videos are shaky so I thought I’d just talk about it and put a picture of the compression sleeves I have 😊

I was running on trails and roads in Paris, Costa Rica, Maui, Utah, Canada…it was fun until I accidentally hit the emergency stop and shut off the treadmill…..UGH!

I restarted and jogged a few more miles for I think a total of close to 5 today. I was pretty comfortable running mainly because I was inside, on a steady surface, and was not dealing with weather conditions.

190 days to go! Aaron, who will be doing the race with me, ran 7.5 on a trail this morning. He’s actually got a headlight he uses because he goes out when it’s still dark.

One step, one mile at a time….

I think Mama Chloe has moved all four of her kittens over here from where they were born. They keep going in and out of the heated cat house 🤭, and don’t worry, a second one will be set up soon.

Now, what do I do with four baby cats and their mama? I’m going to try to find them homes of course.

Please spay and neuter your pets, and don’t breed as a way to make money.
