27! ❤️ Whirlwind of a month after 3 hospital trips post egg retrieval due to severe complications. Feeling so grateful to be on the other side of it and feeling more like myself again in the past two weeks. Completed radiation treatments and looking forward to a few weeks of rest before surgery and chemotherapy begins. Thank you all for the kind messages, support and love. Life update: In May I was diagnosed with stage 3 synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft-tissue cancer. A lump formed on my right hip over the course of the last two years and was misdiagnosed multiple times as sports related injuries. After months of failed PT and chiropractic care for what I thought was chronic hip pain, in April I was seen by an orthopaedic doctor who finally listened to me and knew something wasn’t right. I was immediately referred to an orthopaedic oncologist who biopsied the lump and determined it to be synovial sarcoma.

This week I froze my eggs in order to protect my chances of fertility in the future and also began radiation treatments just this morning. I can’t put into words how grateful I feel for Wyatt, all of my friends, family, and coworkers for lifting me up these past few weeks. It’s a strange feeling knowing that 6 years to the day tomorrow, I lost my Dad to prostate cancer (last slide is him finishing a round of radiation in 2020 🥹). At the beginning of November I struggled to run more than one mile without stopping and on Sunday I ran 13.1!

Shoutout @pugzie_ for training with me and motivating me. Grateful for friends who hold me accountable and for my own two legs!! We did that
