A massive thank you to Sam for playing in Nottingham on Thursday 17th September. I was so excited to hear Runnin and Pervert Blood from the album curve of the earth. Two of my favourite songs ever.

I had this sudden realisation that the best songs / albums will always come from personal experiences.

I’ve always been drawn to artists who do very emotional, real, spiritual and soul searching work within their music. It is a representation, a showcase of their lives and their experiences; what they have been through.

When Ben Kweller said that it was the last show of the cover the mirrors tour, I was grateful to have been there to witness it.

Big Thief - Double Infinity ♾️ / Somersault Slide 360 Tour at Aviva Studios, Manchester - 27th & 28th May

When I heard the first opening notes of Not, I had suddenly missed them for 4 years, but just without knowing it.

A few years ago, a friend sent me a song of Joshua Burnside’s. I listened although I can’t remember what song it was and it wouldn’t be until years later that I would listen to him properly.

It was through a TikTok post that someone recommended his newest album “It’s not going to be okay” and when I heard the first song, I immediately knew that I had to see him live.

And I’m so glad I did. by @betholivia99

After I see a band or a solo artist live for the first time after listening to them on repeat for months, maybe years, I get blown away by how amazing they are. (How much love and joy I have for them, even if I never see them again.)

I don’t know when I found Spacey Jane, but I’m glad I did. They played very emotional songs that I can relate to so much and it’s almost as if I can feel every emotion that Caleb (the singer) is also feeling. He has a very emotive voice, and the lyrics are very visual. I can visualise it in my mind when he sings.

100/10 would definitely love to see them again. Such a great show 😀

Just over 3 weeks ago, two special moments happened to / for me. The first being, I got lucky enough to see Matt Berninger perform a special soundcheck, before his show in Manchester at the Royal Albert Hall.

The second one which is not pictured, is the shirt that I gave him, that he’s been wearing throughout his UK/EU tour this summer.

Both moments were memorable and they were something that I’ll always remember and keep with me forever. I am just so, so grateful 🥹 by @betholivia99

Last night, I was fortunate enough to be able to hear my favourite male singer - songwriter preview new songs from his new album Get Sunk which is being released next month. It was a special memory for me getting to hear his new songs live.

His music and his writing has always resonated deeply with me. He inspires me greatly. He was one of the first few people to forever change the whole world of music for me.
