July 20 2026. I love this photo taken in Downing Street by my dear friend @anushkaasthana. I was looking over at Eileen, Andy Burnham’s mum, as she watched her son become Prime Minister and was imagining how she might be feeling, and it made me think about my own son and being his Mum and my late Mum, who I carry in my heart every day. So it is a very poignant picture to me. #mums by @bethrigbysky

The Battle For No 10, our first solo Sky News’ live election event since 2010. It was a big deal and absolutely exhilarating to anchor. I’ve done a lot of political interviews but never in front of a live audience in a live TV show. A brilliant experience I’ll never forget. There was a huge cast of supremely talented people who pulled it off. I work with the best in the business. Am very lucky. Thank you for watching and we hope you both enjoyed it and found it useful #battleforno10 by @bethrigbysky

When you meet @paulsmith and you are not, for one day only, wearing @paulsmithdesign. Paul very generously tolerated me showing him all my instagram photos of me in Paul Smith suits. Epic failure by me. Total legend behaviour by Paul #paulsmith by @bethrigbysky

@esmewren and I ran the Royal Parks Half this weekend. It was the first half marathon we ran together - I think we did it perhaps 10 years ago - and on Sunday we did it again. I was running for MacMillan Cancer Support and was very happy to complete it in 2.05, which was not far off my pace when I was 40.. Thank you for donating to my fundraising page when I’m tapping you all up time and again. About ten miles in I was saying ‘never again’…. But of course we’re going to attempt London Marathon 2027 again if we can #royalparkshalfmarathon by @bethrigbysky

Picture by @deananthonycamera as @finn.lehane and I filmed our piece to camera for Badenoch’a speech. A leader with complete authority over her party, full of confidence and conviction over how she wants to lead. But the Conservatives still struggling to be heard around the country. Badenoch hoping to change that and benefit from Reform’s difficulties and Burnham’s approach - the Tories think they can gain ground by going on the economy, welfare and tax cuts by @bethrigbysky

Not only does @samantha_metcalfe_mua make me up expertly at party conferences, she also then gives me a load of BTS documenting days away covering first Labour and then the Conservatives. The bits behind the camera and well as the ones in front.

And my favourite bit of all of it, are the cameos of my wonderful team @madeline.lucy @izzylosseff @finn.lehane. I’m blessed to work with them ❤️🧡💜

These pics cover off economy day at Labour, Burnham’s speech, or sit down (well it was a stand up) and our interview with Kemi Badenoch at the Conservatives.

We also did two live Electoral Dysfunction pod records with the ED crew @jessphillipsmp Harriet Harman and Ruth Davidson. A genuinely fascinating conference season with clear battle lines drawn between Labour and the Conservatives.

What’s missing @samantha_metcalfe_mua is one of you and me! ❤️💃🏻💃 #BTS #itsawrap #skynews by @bethrigbysky
