BEFORE & AFTERS 📸For 2 years we’ve been putting our heart and soul into renovating our 1890’s Victorian home and it’s slowly started coming together 🥹We really wanted to celebrate its original features and enhance them where we could (the fireplaces have had a major glow up). As well as adding back in some character that had disappeared over the years like fitting beautiful coving in the bedrooms 😍We’re absolutely buzzing with how it’s turning out, but what do you think?!✨Victorian renovationRenovating on a budgetDIY on a budget by @bethsbudgetdiary

I’ve got some news to share 🥹🎉I’ve officially quit my 9-5 as a Chartered Accountant, to become a full time personal finance content creator. Which is absolutely wilddddd!!If you’d have told me a few years ago that I’d be doing this, there’s no way I’d have believed you 😂 but as I’m turning 30 in a few weeks, and with life feeling tough recently, it just felt like the right time to take the plunge and just go for it ✨I’ve been saving up an emergency fund over the past few years, so I know I’m going to be okay. But I think it’ll definitely be an adjustment going from a safe monthly salary, to not really knowing how much I’ll make that month. That’s probably the bit I’m most nervous about 🙈But aside from that, I’m SO excited for this next chapter 🥹🥹🥹 let the countdown begin…And thanks so much for being here and making this possible, I am and will always be so so grateful, Beth xxx💗 by @bethsbudgetdiary

What I bought whilst racking up £18k of credit card debt 👀🫣>> Swipe across for a nosey 😬I’ve definitely made some questionable decisions over the years 😅🙈 but I always say, it’s made me the person I am today and so I can’t fully regret it. Without making the mistakes for myself, I never would’ve been able to learn and grow from them. And it’s 100% made me value money much more 💸We put so much pressure on ourselves to keep up with what we see on social media, but I hope this post just shows how different the reality can actually be 🫶Follow along for more relatable money content 🫶Debt free journey UKGetting out of debt UKDebt payoff journey UKPersonal finance tips UKMoney mindset UK by @bethsbudgetdiary

I used to think every spare penny had to go towards my next financial goal…And while that mindset helped me buy my first home, pay off debt and build my savings, I forgot about ME in the process 🙈I’ve spent the past few years being constantly tired, burnt out and honestly just feeling a bit meh. So this year I’m changing that 😍I’m prioritising my health a little more and trying to build habits (like going to pilates and taking a walk each day) that will make me ✨feel good✨. Intentional spending isn’t about never treating yourself, it’s about knowing what’s worth spending more on and where you can happily spend less. So while I’m definitely splurging on my Pilates membership, I’m saving on my activewear by opting for more budget-friendly pieces🧘‍♀️What’s something you’re splurging and something you’re saving on at the moment?👀Follow along if you’re trying to make smart money moves while building a life you actually love 💗 by @bethsbudgetdiary

Fireplace makeover…let’s talk MONEY!!💸SAVE this one to come back to, as it includes a full shopping list of what you’ll need if you wanna attempt this DIY too 😍Honestly? Hands down one of my favourite projects to date. Fairly easy to do, can be somewhat inexpensive (depending on the tiles you go for) and gives ✨ maximum impact ✨What do you think? Would you try this DIY?#fireplacediy #homerenovationuk #victorianrenovation #diyonabudget #renovatingonabudget by @bethsbudgetdiary

What I bought whilst racking up £18k of credit card debt 👀🫣>> Swipe across for a nosey 😬✨Every single one✨ of these purchases went onto a credit card. And I was constantly stuck in a cycle of having to fund my lavish lifestyle, and then pay the price later with my huuuge credit card bills. Which btw was a very difficult cycle to break!!I look back and almost don’t recognise the person I was. And honestly, I can’t say I regret these decisions, because it all led me to where I am today. Someone who actually understands money because I learnt the hard way 😝There wasn’t a ‘perfect time’ to start, I was just so fed up of chasing my own tail and never having my own money. Just know that it IS possible to break the cycle and start living life on your terms again 💗Follow along for more relatable money content 🫶Debt free journey UKGetting out of debt UKDebt payoff journey UKPersonal finance tips UKMoney mindset UK by @bethsbudgetdiary
