Another artwork I had the opportunity to create for @official_forbidden , this time for their new single, “Burning The Lungs Of Earth.”

The new single is available now on all streaming platforms, marking another powerful chapter in the band’s return.

Forbidden poured everything into this album, and it’s exciting to finally see new music reaching the world again.

The full record drops worldwide on October 23rd.

Creating the artwork for this album has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my journey as an artist.
What began as an idea became more than three months of creativity, research, conversations, experimentation, and countless hours dedicated to building every element of this artwork with purpose.
I had the privilege of developing the concept in close collaboration with Craig Locicero, Chris Kontos, and @official_forbidden. Their ideas, trust, creative vision, and constant involvement were essential throughout the entire process. Together, we worked to create an image that goes far beyond a traditional album cover — something filled with symbolism, references, hidden details, and different layers of meaning waiting to be discovered.
Forbidden has always been a very special band to me, which makes being invited to contribute my art to this chapter of their history incredibly significant. To see this project become a reality is difficult to put into words. It represents a personal milestone, a dream fulfilled, and a moment I will carry with me for the rest of my artistic journey.
My deepest gratitude goes to Craig and Chris for believing in my work, for trusting me with their vision, and for the incredible creative partnership we shared throughout these months.
I also want to sincerely thank every member of the band and everyone involved behind the scenes for their support, collaboration, enthusiasm, and dedication in bringing this project to life.
To have my artwork become part of the visual identity of this album is something I am immensely proud of.
Thank you for the trust. Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for allowing me to be part of something that means so much to me.

There is a massive contradiction in the way some designers and artists criticize the use of AI in visual creation.

Many condemn AI as if it were a threat to art, yet they use stock photos, purchased textures, mockups, fonts, brushes, presets, filters, plugins, and third-party references every day.

So the question is simple: why is a stock image accepted as creative raw material, but an AI-generated image is not?

A designer can take an existing photo, crop it, manipulate it, change colors and lighting, combine it with other images, apply effects, rebuild the scene, and turn it into something new. That is considered a creative process.

But when an artist uses an AI-generated image as a starting point, then edits, corrects, redraws, composes, refines, and adds their own artistic vision, suddenly people say it is “not art.”

That is not defending art.
That is a double standard.
That is prejudice against a tool.

AI does not erase authorship when there is real human intervention. It can be a reference, texture, fragment, lighting study, visual concept, or raw material for a larger work—just like photography, collage, photomontage, stock imagery, and digital art.

What defines a work is not simply where each element came from.
It is what the artist does with it.

Art is in the choices, intention, composition, storytelling, visual direction, sensitivity, concept, and transformation.

Using stock imagery does not make anyone less of a designer.
Using AI does not make anyone less of an artist.

The problem was never the tool.
The problem is claiming one technique is legitimate when you use it, but invalid when someone else uses a different technology.

Creativity is not about the purity of an image’s origin.
It is the ability to transform raw material into expression.

The tool may change.
The vision remains human.
The intention remains human.
And when genuine creation exists, the final work remains human too.

Creating this cover artwork was an incredible journey that took a little over three months of work, research, and dedication.

The entire concept was developed in close collaboration with Craig Locicero, Chris Kontos, and the @official_forbidden , whose inspiring ideas, creative input, and vision played a fundamental role in shaping the final artwork. Every detail was carefully created to bring those ideas to life through a powerful image filled with deep meaning, references, symbolism, and multiple layers of interpretation.

This band has always been very special to me, so being part of this project is a tremendous honor. It is more than a dream come true — it is a milestone in my journey as an artist and an experience I will always carry with immense pride and gratitude.

My deepest thanks to Craig and Chris for their trust, creative vision, partnership, and involvement throughout the entire process. I would also like to thank the rest of the band and the entire team behind this project for their collaboration, support, and for making this unforgettable experience possible.
