Mother’s Day ~I used to worry about what Mother’s Day would feel like after I no longer had a Mama and a Mominlove on earth to celebrate on Mother’s Day. It’s now been 17 and 5 years since either of them were here for that celebration day, and I am so glad I have my family members to celebrate with and thank them for making me a “Mother”! My husband, my adult children, their spouses, and my Grands to celebrate MY motherhood! I want them to know they are each a very special part of my heart, just as they are, as my “children”, and I love them Very much. They bring so much joy and happiness to my life, and I “wish for every happiness in their future”, as the little box on the tiered tray says. Life is full of ups and downs, and through it all, we try to pick each other up, and support each other as best we can. Sometimes, I “tried to help and got in the way”, (it’s gonna say that on my headstone after I die 😂) and I am so sorry for every pain and heartache I have caused each of my “children”, their spouses, and my grands. I wanted to never hurt you, and I knew that by choosing to “stay”, I would most certainly hurt you again, unintentionally, as well as in trying to do my best to support you. 😳🫣🥺 This post is celebrating our Hot Cocoa Party Tradition! I love our Hot Chocolate Parties! And I am so glad each of them has their own hot cocoa/tea set (their Mothers Day Gift from us, as their parents) to celebrate the good times and remember the good memories of our hot chocolate parties of their childhoods. In 1998, I bought the small tea set in the first picture, and these are the only pieces left after years of use. Saturday’s after chores were done, when we lived in our 14’ x 70’ trailer, “cold chocolate parties” our 3 year old son would set up in the bathroom, using a suitcase for our table 😂, and all the hot chocolate parties our youngest had with her friends as a preschooler and as she grew, along with our family hot chocolate and tea parties since that time and with our grands, we have SO many wonderful memories! We are celebrating the Bunny! We keep seeing a big brown bunny here, and we look for him every day. So, 🤔why not set a bunny table??🥳 I love all the accents I have found at local stores to enhance my fifth wheel table. The white bunnies, the candles and candlesticks, the tiered tray, the metal and wood riser, all from @hawsandco in Lehi, Utah. It’s a beautiful florist and gift shoppe with amazing floral arrangements, ribbons, home decor and gifts. I just LOVE going there! The Angel Vine plant and basket, hanging pot bunny, bunny table cards and green velvet ribbon is from @bramblesandblossomsprovo in Provo, Utah and they also have beautiful plants, antiques, home decor and gifts. I am looking forward to visiting these amazing shoppes one more time before I have to leave for home. Yesterday, the GrandBoy and I had a picnic in the park. He was so sweet. “Fank you for doing a picnic for me, Mimi!” he told me, several times as we were eating. He played on the equipment, inviting me to participate with him, 😂🤔😆, and he was so sad when we had to leave. Good thing it is just a short drive to this park. We can go again soon! These mountains are where we watch airplanes fly over, and we love to watch them from the driveway, day and night. I know my little tea setting for two won’t make any national leader around the world choose peace, but I can still hope that peace will fall upon and come to those who desire it it in their every day lives. Reflecting on the message of Easter, and the cost that was paid for us to have the opportunity to find individual peace, even in the midst of all the crazy going on around us, it could potentially motivate us to step further into affecting those around us with peaceful thoughts and behavior. Praying for the nations of the world to make choices that bring peace, not destruction and unnecessary death. I was feeling hopeful, looking forward to spring and all the potential new life as I set my table this morning. What will tomorrow morning bring? Our Easter dinner. A bowl of naturally dyed eggs was our centerpiece on top of the small runner, I actually finished yesterday. We lit a candle and read a scripture about Holy Week each night this week. Watching our 2 1/2 year old grandson pray, asking for a blessing on the food is such a sweet experience. We watched our church’s General Conference on Saturday and Sunday and felt filled with love for the Lord and from the Lord. So very thankful for life, such as it is. So many blessings, so much to be grateful for. #easterplacesetting #easterdinner #lovethelord

As you see, I am in BUD, again for a few weeks, and just in time to celebrate Easter with our son and his family. Using the things I keep in BUD (Believing In Undetermined Destinations, the name of our 5thwheel 😂) on a regular basis, I set this table for two, focusing on eggs and chicks, 🐣, and signs of new life, as offered to us by our Savior Jesus Christ. Repentance leads to forgiveness, and forgiveness leads to full love in our hearts for our Savior, for ourselves, and for our fellow man. I am extending my faith in Jesus Christ, that I may be forgiven of my sins, that I may forgive those who have sinned against me and others. I have a lot of repenting to do! I pray for peace in our hearts, our homes, our families, our extended families, our country, and our world. I need love in my heart to make peace. 🐣 🐥💐🕊️✝️

It’s happening! Has been for a week! I am recovering from surgery that happened a week ago. I went outside for the first time to see how it’s going…. And it’s almost gone! My body feels a bit like this ground, it’s another phase of life I have entered. I have enjoyed this phase of life, and there are new things to come!

Our daughter and her family’s Christmas tree! 🎄 wWr get to be with them this year for Christmas and for some special family events. I love their tree, filled with handmade, school made, special christmas memories, German ornaments, ornaments from our daughter’s and her husband’s childhoods. My Christmas dishes are from @villeroyboch's Winter Bakery Delight collection. I picked these up on a trip to Mettlach, Germany with my daughter when she lived in Gross Gerau, Germany. They've been a holiday staple for years, and I adore using them every Christmas! The matching ornaments have been such a fun addition to my hot cocoa station each winter!
