It’s International Learn to Swim Week💙

This week, we’re supporting the teachers and students who make swimming lessons more than just learning strokes.

Thiago’s journey shows how confidence grows when students feel supported, challenged and have fun. With teacher Altaire guiding him, he’s not only becoming a better swimmer but also gaining self-belief and skills that last a lifetime.

Every lesson enables something more 🏊‍♂️💙

Watching Ayrton grow in confidence in the water has been so special. From those first little moments of getting comfortable in the pool to seeing him enjoy himself, every bit of progress feels like another step towards him becoming more confident and independent in the water.

For me, swimming isn’t just about what happens during a lesson. It’s about giving him a skill he can carry with him as he grows, and creating opportunities for us to enjoy the water together as a family.

And it doesn’t have to stop when the lesson ends. Being able to practise those skills and spend more time in the water can make such a difference.

Manchester residents aged 16 and under can swim for free in Swim for All sessions during school holidays and at certain times at the weekend in term time. 🏊‍♀️

I can’t wait to see where Ayrton’s swimming journey takes him next. 🤍

AD | POV: You’ve already heard “Mum… I’m bored!” before you’ve even finished your first coffee… 😂☀️

One of the biggest challenges of working from home during the school holidays is trying to juggle work while keeping Josie entertained. Some days I need to squeeze in meetings and emails, while she’s counting down the minutes until we can do something fun together.

Instead of another day of screen time or an expensive day out, we decided to head to our local Better centre—and honestly, it was exactly what we both needed.
Watching Josie laugh, stay active, try new activities and build her confidence, while I got to switch off from work and be fully present with her, reminded me that the best summer memories don’t have to come with a big price tag.

Sometimes it’s not about filling the day—it’s about making the most of the time you have together. ❤️

Days out with kids from just £1 🤍 AD

I know summer is such a juggle with work, the kids and trying to make it magical, but I hate the idea of just killing time. When we do have the opportunity, I want to make the most of the time we have together.

We loved spending the day at our local @better_uk centre, and what surprised me most was just how much there was to do. From bowling and the trampoline park to swimming, plus soft play, sports and even free library activities, there’s something for everyone, whatever the weather.

The best part? Watching the boys try something new, laughing their heads off during family dodgeball and heading home happily exhausted. Those are the moments I’ll remember long after summer is over.

Ad. Didn’t expect that…
Summer is better spent together. We went swimming and then to the Multi-Zone Activity Area with @better_uk to perfect our parkour skills. But there are so many other family-friendly activities that you can do like clip & climb, going to the library, even skateparks! Kids can swim for just £1 before 10am so it doesn’t have to cost the earth either. Whatever you do this summer, do it Better.
