How cool that @knockout.shorts was interviewed by @kairyssdal for his show @marketplace, over whom I fangirl on a daily basis. 3 of the coolest just schmoozing. And I whooped when I saw that my character on #knockout.shorts’ “ #themosteligibleheiress The Most Eligible Heiress” was included in the shots of their gazillion projects. Watch these guys, folks. I first knew Bettina as a singer.

Not just any singer. I swear, she had a Barbra Streisand type voice.

Then, illness took away that gorgeous voice she'd built much of her career around.

But it didn't take away her creativity.

Instead of giving up, Tina shifted her focus back to another love she'd always had: acting.

At 72, she starred in and produced the award-winning short film LOX, proving that when one path closes, another can open.
I love that she didn't wait for someone else to hand her a new opportunity. She created one.

Like the dragonfly, Tina grew new wings later in life.

Sometimes reinvention isn't about becoming someone new.

It's about finding a new way to express who you've always been.

It makes me so happy to see @sherilljquinn ‘s @when_fighting_monsters_movie (she wrote, directed and starred in it) getting so many eyeballs on it. Thanks to @danamoe, I got to see it again at the Sold out @bayareaindies yesterday. I’m surprised that no matter how many times I see it, I still find myself holding my breath. Truly topnotch filmmaking that is up there with any name film you’ve ever seen. And I got to be IN IT (!) playing the wife of the powerful talent that is @thomascokenias! No Oscar (yet) but hey… ANOTHER AWARD! For LOX! We’ll take it! Thank you to Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards. We got it for BEST INDIE SHORT FILM/LOW BUDGET (UNDER 25,000 USD BUDGET). WHO KNEW? (And just because she JUST got her own award from LADCC (LA Drama Critics Circle) “Special Recognition Award for Career Achievement casting Los Angeles theatre”, it’s a good time to shout out that without @vichoffmanla ‘s direction of @leo.eigen_ ‘s original play for @theblanktheatre , this movie would NEVER be racking up this many awards. I’m so happy for my friend, (we were introduced by our mutual old friend @jeanette_tondino_oconnor) Emmy-Award-winning casting director, @paulruddycasting, who is (at last) getting his long overdue respect, recognition, and hopefully remuneration for the wonderful work he’s always done and is doing. It’s not that I don’t pay attention, it’s just that I choose to focus on the positive and the joy. Speaking of… my now 11-year old student, Diora Silin, has been nominated by the San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle for an award in the Featured Performance in a Drama category for her role as Gloria in Ross Valley Players’ (@rossvalleyplayers) production of “Wait Until Dark”. Mind you… this was her FIRST EVER audition for a professional stage production!!!! (Oh… did I forget to mention she placed 4th in no less than the U.S. Open Piano Competition 2026? ) So proud of our Diora! #childacting #actingcoach taken in Ross Valley Players by @bettinadevinacting
