I took my collage book to the beach today. ☀️

I thought the sea, the sand and a little sunshine might make a nice change of scenery for making.

Things were going beautifully… until I dropped my glue stick in the sand. 😂

But I carried on, and somehow this came out of it.

I love how making a collage can become part of a place — using little scraps and found things and seeing what happens when you put them together.

Where should I take my collage book next? ☁️#mixedmediaart #junkjournal #paperart #creativepractice #intuitiveart by @between_pillars

I love bringing found things into my collages — birthday wrapping paper, envelopes, clothing tags, little pieces of everyday life.

They give the work so much depth and character. But I’m still figuring out how to bring all those different things together so that they become something cohesive, rather than simply a collection of pieces stuck down. #collageart #foundmaterials #collageartist #junkjournal #mixedmediaart by @between_pillars
