I trusted myself when I was terrified, and that led me to here.

I had to say goodbye to my playground. My work took me more outside this space vs in the space. In January of 2025, I suddenly lost my job. Not my clients, but the company I worked for to serve them. I scrambled to figure out next steps, where to go, that being yet another creative agency to work for. I always wanted to start my own thing so I thought it was a sign to do so. Even though I wasn’t ready, I decided to jump. My jump didn’t lead me to where I thought I was going, but it led me to where I am now. Where I thought I was going, was building an in-person podcast studio. Not only an in-person podcast studio, but one that had more professional video production, making podcasts look more elevated like the world I had come from. As I learned more about the podcast world, I learned that very few people care about quality podcast production the way I did; they just want to look and sound nice, like the everyday video podcast look and sound. So where am I going and what have I been doing? I love storytelling. What I loved about my producing career was the storytelling. The docu-style of doing so. That part of my job went away that I loved so much; it was more about trends and the cleverness of how to use those trends to get the messaging across. Though it was fun, it wasn’t what I wanted to do. I missed the stories and the telling of those stories.

I’ve learned so much about myself this past year: that I have a talent as a visual director, videographer, and editor. And I love helping others bring their brands visually to life. As I approach a new era, I know where I’m going this time. by @between_two_binaries
